Dining at Restaurant du Quai was a truly pleasant experience, showcasing coastal cuisine at its finest. I had the pleasure of trying both the fish chowder and the lobster roll, and both dishes were executed with precision.
The fish chowder was exceptional, a creamy concoction that managed to balance the fresh flavors of shrimp, potatoes, and haddock. The true stars were the two large scallops—plump, tender, and perfectly cooked.
The lobster roll was another standout. Served in a generously buttered slice of bread, it allowed the lobster to truly shine. Nestled on a sleeve of crisp lettuce, the lobster was plentiful and bursting with flavor. Paired with French fries that were meaty and expertly fried, and a side of coleslaw that added just the right touch of sweetness, the dish was very satisfying
A special mention must go not only to the chef for crafting such well-balanced dishes, but alto to the attentive and friendly Danielle who enhanced the overall dining experience.

Read moreWe visited from Ontario looking for good seafood and ended up at Restaurant du Quai after seeing its good reviews. The restaurant was clean, with friendly staff, clean washrooms, and plenty of parking—definitely a pleasant atmosphere.
However, we were a bit disappointed with the food. Given the location near the ocean, we expected fresher seafood and more generous portions, especially compared to inland cities. Unfortunately, the meal was smaller than expected, and the prices were the same or even higher than what we’ve seen in places farther from the coast. Mostly fries.
We truly wish the business all the best, and we appreciate the hospitality—but it’s important to consider customer expectations, especially when it comes to value for money in a...
Read moreCame here a few times last year because the fish and chips was the best I'd ever had. Everything about it was perfect. Service was great, too.
Unfortunately this year it has fallen flat every time we've had it, and I guess the price went up? Spent $50 on two of the worst meals I've had... Fish was chewy, and the batter soggy. Fries tasted like they were fried in burnt oil. Also had the crab here a month ago, and it was fine, but nothing about the meal was all that special honestly. Sad, because I loved coming here last year, but wasn't in Caraquet as often! Now I can go any time and it's definitely...
