Frenchie's Chip Hut — Restaurant in Central Frontenac

Hands down the worst experience looking / choosing somewhere to eat for dinner in an area that only had 3 choices to begin with!!!! Menu hand printed in a messy uneven style . Two employees presented as unwashed and unkept - one employee wiped his nose on his arm upon arrival. Their debit machine was down, they were out of fish for fish and chips and they were out of chicken fingers! Chip truck itself was unkept and presented quite dirty! Could hardly find chip truck itself as there was no signage from road to speak of and chip truck wasn’t visible from road . We tried this place out as the reviews on line were all good but we now know that locals or the owners friends must have written them!!! Needless to say we couldn’t bring ourselves to...

Oh my goodness!! I can not say enough about this place!!! 4 of us went for supper one night and the food was amazing! Everyone loved what they had. Honestly it was so good, we went back for lunch the next day! Hand made burger was awesome. Poutine was great. You can add different things to your burger (I added back bacon to mine and it was so tender and good). If I could suggest an added menu item it would be the pemeal bacon on a bun with cheese (not just a topping for a burger).

The staff were amazingly friendly too. Even though it was past their closing time, they served the four of us and another woman anyway. This place is totally about...

Fries were really good.

Sausages were falsely advertised as "Seed to Sausage" which is a local brand/farm with delicious sausages.

Unfortunately, they were actually serving some sausage from grocery store bulk packs. Full of chewy bits and relatively flavourless. Looked like the stuff Costco sells to my eye.

Wish I'd have known beforehand. Only reason I went to this chip truck was for the sausage as advertised. At least the fries were good, but I won't be buying food from this...
