Mindemoya Grill — Restaurant in Central Manitoulin

We had dinner here because it is next to our motel. We ordered the roast beef, with side salad and baked potato, and pork schnitzel with gravy & mushroom, with side soup of the day and mashed potato. The server asked if I want gravy on the mashed potato and I said yes, not knowing it is $2 extra. The server later bought out the sale first but not the soup. When she bought the main dish I asked her about the soup and she said she thought someone else bought it. She didn't say sorry and just went back and bought the minestrone soup out. The soup was good. The roast beef was dry and tasteless, we know it does not come with gravy but do not expect it is so dry. They should include some gravy. The pork and mashed potatoes were swimming in gravy. While the pork was good, the mashed potato was just 2 small scopes. When I paid and questioned about the extra gravy charges, the lady said it is on the menu. Another lesson learn, always read the fine prints. Atmosphere is typical of a small restaurant, not fancy...

Visiting from Calgary and this place shocked me. The food here is incredible! I had the "Seeing Double" burger and it was literally one of the best burgers I've ever had. And I've eaten many burgers around the world. Patties were hot and juicy (not over cooked), the bun thin and fresh, and the toppings were all fresh. Delicious! I sthe server bringing a family size poutine to another table and I was shocked that she could carry it with one hand. It was enormous!! Huge portions, great food, and friendly service. I highly recommend that anyone give this place a chance. Savannah was my server, and she was polite, friendly, and made a great recommendation. I'll come back here...

Staff was amazing, even under pressure. They were filling tables faster than you could clean them. We ourselves waited 10 minutes for a table because my companions love this place. You know it's good when it's packed with locals! Good variety. Everything came out HOT! I'm not kidding. Every single thing I was watching them bring out of the kitchen was steaming and looked delicious. I had the roast beef entree. Really big portions and you can't beat the price. $14 for an entrée which included salad to start and it was all so good. The roast beef was well cooked while still being moist....
