This Restaurant is an absolute disgrace to the Pizza Delight name.
Pt Aux Basque is the end of our 5hr journey heading to the Ferry. Being very satisfied clients of another PD...in which we were very happy...we decided to visit this place with intent on the same delightful supper as before... Lasagna for my gal and Baked Spaghetti n meatballs for me...with a glass of red... with PDelight as our plan we were sure to get a good meal. NOT THE CASE HERE. The Waiter was friendly and there were only 2 other tables being used...he took our order...( I made it clear that mine was to be SUPREME SKETTI (Baked)...he said oh that's simple... didn't write it down and returned to ask my partner...if she ordered Lasagna?... The water came...the wine came and then the mains...not supreme SKETTI...I went to find same Waiter and let him know...I was starving and although he said he would exchange....I figured what's the big deal?...no problems says me...after we dig in...we both are SHOCKED at the friggin garlic toast hidden under the plates...it was cold white bread crust from a sandwich loaf...phot incl...my complaints fell on deaf ears and the manager lady said basically...too bad so sad...this was silly and insulting so bad. We had to laugh...save your money and buy a Burger some where...44$ for no respect and White...
Read moreI stopped by here last Saturday before the midnight crossing on the ferry. First let me say I am very nervous when I go out to eat as I have celiac disease and a restaurant that mainly focuses on pizza is something I would normally avoid. I knew Pizza Delight had several "Gluten Sensitive" options and there did not appear to be any other options in Port Aux Basque that were specifically labeled Gluten Free. The server was very friendly and went to the Chef to clarify several questions I had regarding menu items. I also saw there were several liability statements on the menu saying they could not guarantee an item to be 100% safe for people with sever allergies or celiac disease, so I knew the risk before eating. As my options were limited, I took a chance with the cauliflower crust pizza. I was not disappointed! It was delicious, and I did not get sick via cross-contamination. I know sometimes it may seem like a "pain" to cater towards individuals with dietary restrictions, but the small act of using a clean utensil to cut the pizza can go a far way. I want to thank the staff...
Read moreThis was the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant yesterday. We waited almost an hour watched two tables who came in after us getting served rather quickly. We ordered a soup with our pizza after waiting 25 minutes and asking where it was 3 times it came out stuck to the sides of the bowl like it was microwaved and sitting for a long time I couldn't eat it because it was so incredibly salty. My husband ate it and I had to give him an aspirin later because his blood pressure was so high. It's like canned soup without the water added. By the time my meal came I didn't want it anymore. The girls who served us seemed annoyed and took the cost of the soup off trying to explain how they had 3 staff members quit that does not explain serving everyone else around us while we waited an hour. First time I have never left a tip. Worst 28.00 spent...
