Le Moulin — Restaurant in Charlo

I would not recommend this place at this point. There was a time where I would of happily done so but it went downhill since my last visit:

The menu when you come in for coffee has iced coffee, tea, iced tea, chai latte, and other various coffee house drinks. I thought “hey it’s a nice day a nice glass of iced tea would be delicious right now.” Incredibly disappointed when I was handed a bottle of snapples iced tea from the store. Iced tea is so incredibly easy to do? Why would you have iced tea in the rest of your coffee house drinks? Have it as an option with pepsi. Kinda dumb.

The coffee lids are super loose. My wife burnt herself getting in the car when the lid popped off. As she was swearing because of the scalding hot coffee all over her leg a passerby leaving the coffee shop commented that the same just happened to him. Evidently this is a problem. Fix this.

Finally the baked goods we bought were ok. Very similar to what you’d buy at Costco.

This place looks so unassuming from the road — a small house on the main strip of tiny Charlo — but it punches way above its weight. Because they only do takeout right now (which you can eat on the picnic tables outside), I certainly wasn’t expecting a beautifully plated salad to go with my delicious taquitos — nor did I expect my amazing cheesecake to be presented so nicely either. This is an absolute jewel! The food is to die for. The location is quiet, its got a view of the water, and its really small and intimate. If you've got a ciuple people with you, call ahead to reserve a table to make sure you have a place to sit down because the whole place only sits maybe 10 or 12 people.
