My 8year old son has some disabilities and sensory issues and the only kind of icecream he will eat is vanilla. As we were looking at what kind of options there were for us to choose from one of the workers decided to scrap the bottom of the old vanilla bucket into the new one. And all I could see was the left over from other kinds of icecream mixed in with that scoop. Then as we were ready the worker at the till decided to yell and get rude with me and my son because we weren't ordering our ice cream properly. But yet there are no signs posted anywhere telling you how to order properly and with it being our first time there how were we supposed to know. So I went to the till and proceeded to tell her our order and just as I was about to ask that my son's scoops be just the vanilla and not the leftovers she said "not my job, move along." So then I moved down the line and told the person who was doing my son's order what we needed in order to make this outting a good one without any hiccups and I thought this girl actually listened to me but unfortunately she did not. She had the leftovers scoop at the bottom and then a small scoop of just vanilla on top hidding it. That is until my son started eating it and got the chunks and tastes from other flavors in his mouth and then we'll that was it. He was mad and upset and angry and knocked his bowl over and then got down, ran to our vehicle got inside and proceeded to hit the chairs and himself. Now if the workers would have just listened to me the customer then maybe my son and the rest of my family would have been able to finish enjoying our time out together and his icecream wouldn't have been a trigger and he would have remained happy. So it's safe to say that unless we hear that the staff there have been properly trained on how to listen to the customers and what they would like and how they would like it then we definitely will not be going back there. And we've also stopped many many other families from going there as well since we don't want them ending up with the same experience as we had. Since they have children with...
Read moreNice! I’ve driven past Kent’s while en route it of Chilliwack, countless times. Finally, I had time and my wife and I felt like having a sweet treat.
Kent’s has been pretty busy every time I’ve driven past and this visit, was no different. It didn’t hurt that the day was beautiful, sunny and warm!
As you drive in, there is a sign, not huge or loud but there is a sign. I think the better tell that Kent’s is a great stop is the number of people sitting in the grassy area enjoying their ice cream!
We stopped and looked at the board displaying the flavours. Chose our flavours and ordered. My wife is a coffee nut so she ordered the single with two coffee flavoured creams and I ordered the single with the peanut-butter and chocolate mix and the cookie dough in a waffle cone.
Holy smokes! We normally headed across the border to get our ice cream. Thankfully, we now have a delicious alternative in Kent’s.
The ice cream was flavourful and decadent. Creamy and smooth. The cone was sweet but not too much so, crunchy and delish!
Service was great! Price is about right for what you get. A bit pricier than the US but...

The store is organized with a traffic light on the door. The order board is outside the store to help speed up the process inside.
When you first walk in the aroma of waffle cones, candy and ice cream is lovely. It takes you back to your childhood summers.
The staff was fantastic and helped make the process run smoothly. Choosing between the cone types and ice cream flavours is all part of fun. The staff never make you feel rushed. They go above and beyond by offer samples.
There is undercover seating in the shade or picnic tables on the grassy area. The grassy area was a lovely place to spend a summer day with our puppy while enjoying island farms ice-cream.
If you are looking for good ice cream with a wonderful experience, this...
