I’ve been to many Popeyes locations and have always had a great experience, but unfortunately, this location was an exception. My friend and I went through the drive-thru to order, but the worker was not paying attention, repeatedly saying “huh” and asking us to repeat ourselves. To make things easier, we decided to go inside, but things only got worse.
The worker taking our order was clearly having a bad day. He smashed the screen as we gave our order and patronizingly interrupted us with “is that everything?” before we could finish. Despite his attitude, we just wanted food and tried to be patient. When we received our order, the sandwiches were wrong. My friend politely pointed out the mistake, but instead of resolving the issue, the worker accused us of being wrong and became very rude. He even yelled at my friend, which was completely uncalled for. I stepped in to diffuse the situation and calmly repeated the order, even reading it directly from the menu board behind him to avoid further confusion. He still seemed passive-aggressive and confused but finally remade the order.
Though I thanked them when we left, the entire experience was exhausting and unprofessional. I understand bad days happen, but taking it out on customers in a customer-facing role is unacceptable. I truly hope things get better for the worker, but I will not be returning to this location. The food was good, as always, but this level of service is something I’ve never encountered at any...
Read moreDon't bother ordering online, I can't speak for all locations but this location doesn't even look at your online order until you are in the store for pickup. We ordered our food online a half hour before we arrived to the store. Once inside I tried many times to get the attention of store staff, and was repeatedly ignored. Finally my boyfriend got their attention after we'd already waited in store for 20 minutes. They asked for our order number, printed it off on their computer, and told us it would be a few minutes. After about 10 minutes they asked if we wanted something else so it could be ready faster, but we'd already paid for what we had ordered so we had to wait. While we waited, the online order that was placed right after ours came through the drive thru for pickup. I know this because I heard the drive thru staff member let the front cash know they'd arrived, and I once again saw them search and print out the order, only starting it AFTER they'd arrived to pick it up. We waited an extra 30 minutes in store for our food to be ready, nearly an hour and a half total wait time since we'd placed the order. Our order was of course wrong after all of this, so I had to go back in and get what they missed. This store needs to come up with a better way to handle their online orders, because their current method...
Read moreUnfortunately I've made the mistake of coming to this location more than once as I live in the area. It's pretty much a given that even during rush hours you will have to put your vehicle in park in the drive thru and wait for your order to be made. I'm okay with that but I'm tired of either not getting what I ordered or waiting to only get a half portion of what I ordered. Today I received this many onion rings after paying for a "platter" meal for example.
Previously I have waited to receive orders that either were not spicy chicken or they put half and half in my order without asking first. Today the worker asked if I would rather wait for fresh or get 2/5 spicy tenders and 3/5 normal. I was okay with that but then ended up having to wait a long time for the order anyway + received less than I should have in the onion rings. I've previously had them give me old fries that were less than a portion as well. If we have to wait you might as well drop a new basket when the order comes up on drive-thru.
This is the last time I go to the local Popeyes. Waiting is one thing but to pay 19 bucks for a platter, wait long enough to make turning off my vehicle worth it, and receive less than I ordered has happened...
