Ed's Take Out — Restaurant in Conway

I thought we'd try Ed's as we live literally 2 minutes away. It started with the order. I ordered a double cheeseburger and fries and a sm fish and chips. I got the coleslaw and tartar sauce and no lemon and an extra coleslaw. Well thats not what I got. When I went to pick up my order there was no fries with the burger and then I had to go back to my vehicle to get more money for them. Then they never gave me the extra coleslaw that I ordered so I had to get that but at least thst was already paid for. When I got home the fries were cold and my fish was cold. My husband's burger was quite raw. The coleslaw that came with my fish and chips was the size of a teaspoon and the other was a 1.50 that wasn't worth it. First of all you need to train your staff to actually listen to what the person is ordering. Next the food should be hot and not raw. You got our money once but you will never get it again. In today's world you need to do better as people work hard for their money and if you want your business to grow you need to do better. Sadly we will never be back as it was a waste of money. So, I live nearby this place. And I love seafood. I really wanted this to be my regular eatery.... That said, I arrived at 11:31 on a week day (1 minute after they open), it wasn't last call on Sunday, it wasn't a special request (like hey, have you got any leftover scallops?), no. It was first thing as they opened, I ordered the scallops and fries, and I got two basic cheese burgers. Let's focus on the burgers first. They were very basic like I said, normal condiments, cheese, burger. Not that hard. However! The buns were stale, okay. And then the burger was no more than 1/4" thick and burnt on both sides. Not, ideal.

The scallops! Okay I think there was maybe 8?or 6? Can't remember. Either way, two out of the bunch were straight up OFF. Like nasty, fishy, stanky, off. Bad. The rest of the portion wasn't awful, but it sure wasn't good enough to make up for the other two.

The fries! Utter trash. Literally terrible. Picture wendys fries, but half the size, and crushed under a heavy weight wrestler. Then triple fried in old oil.

Overall. I'm sad. I had hoped for more, I had hoped for better. I got what I got. I will not recommend, nor...

SO SAD KALENS WAS GONE!! I have heard great things about Ed's so figured I would give it a try in Kalens absence. Will never go Back. After spending 10 minutes figuring out what I wanted, when I went to order the lady advises me that they did not have most of what I was about to order. I was the only one there with the exception of the couple eating outside, one would have thought she would have told me what they run out of instead of standing there waiting until I placed me order. Simply because of this service, I won't be Back. I hear Kalens is working on getting a new spot.... Thank goodness!!!

RESPONSE TO OWNER: I was actually not referring to yesterday. This about 3 weeks ago but I just got around to writing the review. And being out of food because you are busy, is one thing. Your cashier standing there and not saying a word for a good 10 minutes, is what the problem was. Sorry, but there is no excuse for that. She should have greeted me when I came in the door, or a smile at the least, and immidiately informed me of what was not available to order. Simply...
