I had their spicy chicken donburi special and a negitiro roll to taste the sea. Their goma ae (spinach with sesame sauce topping) was the best I've had in Vancouver. Their sauce was actually just sesame and no peanut from what I could tell. I have peanut allergies and wasn't bothered by it. I'd hiked up the hill for a lunch break and recommend ordering ahead if you are walking from near coquitlam central and have an hour for lunch. Hoy creek 18m there, 15m back.

Very quaint sushi restaurant in the middle of a residential neighborhood. The interior was very quaint and the staff were very nice. The kake udon broth was especially good, and I liked the amount of salmon provided for the two pieces of salmon nigiri that I ordered. The atmosphere is very nice, and I enjoyed the soft piano jazz that was playing in the background. Hidden gem for sure.

Clean, small, welcoming restaurant. Food is very fresh, considering the kitchen is right in the dining area. Atmosphere and feel is absolutely amazing. Staff is friendly, ready when you need them.

Getting to the small details, portioning is down to earth. It's not over, and it's not under portioned. Most of the food you order here will serve 1-2 people. Dishes being served is colorful and appetizing. Very different from the competition out there.

Menu is not over crammed, just the pure essentials of Japanese cuisine. The rice and the vinegar acidity is absolutely beautiful and spot on. Excellent job. Sashimi is not chewy, has a instant melt feeling in your mouth.

One of the downsides is the batter will get cold and soggy after being left on the table for too long. Some restaurants have better tempura batter mix than others. However, this is not a contributing factor to lower the score for my review in any way.

Overall, absolutely wonderful gem in the tri-cities. Completely hidden, but one of the most beautiful places that gives me a eat-at-home feeling. I would definitely come again because of the great feel, and the...

Opened up near my house so decided to try it. The quality of the food has gotten better since they first opened, but sometimes they put some some weird white sauce on certain rolls. Even though I have been to almost every Sushi place in Vancouver, I think these guys have the best Dynamite Roll I've ever had, and most of the other stuff is great too. Service is good but most of the time I take out so I don't know for sure. If you do choose to sit down though remember that they don't have washrooms. It's mostly catered towards take out but they do have some nice tables to eat at. Glad to see a good restaurant on...

I really was hoping to be great sushi. Tye sunomono salad had melon and strawberry and lettuce in itm so that was really weird tried it and threw the fruit out. Fruit dosnt belong in a sunomono salad. The salmon was mushy. Like partially cooked bit thay could have been from putting it together before the rice cooled that was disappointing. Pretty pricy 20 bucks for 6 Niggiri 2 salmon 2 tuna 2 ebi. 1 salmon roll and the ebi sunomono salad. I might give it another try one day. But I really hope they stop putting melon letuc and strawberry in the...
