Pizza Tonight — Restaurant in Dartmouth

Used to go there years ago and stopped going because the quality of their food went down hill. Seems to be normal for pizza places around HRM. Decided to try again after reading reviews here online one night. People's tastes are different, so this is just mine and my kids taste. We ordered their 16" pepperoni pizza for 9.99. None of us liked it so most of the 4 pizzas went to the garbage. Their crust is really dry, although I love how thin it is. Something on the pizza taste strange, not sure if it's the crust (could be) or what, but it isn't the type of taste we like in pizza so none of us ate more than a couple slices. Over the past 4 months I've ordered their biggest donair numerous times. I'd love for them to get it right because their meat is good and they have, by far, the best donair sauce. It is always thick and always perfect and you can get a large for like 1.50! They could sell that donair sauce and make lots of money off it it's that good. The meat has a good taste but there are other things wrong with it. The first time was almost perfect. The donair was huge, it taste good, but the meat was too burnt. (Not black burnt but too crispy)The donair sauce is that good though that I covered it in sauce and ate it anyways. I now usually ask them not to burn the meat and they don't. One time the tomatoes tasted strange, no big deal I just took them off. Onother time the meat was cut too thick. Donair meat cut thick is disgusting. This last time,tonight, we ordered 4 pizzas and a donair. The pizza review is up top and the donair just sucked. They seem to put less meat on it every time I order a donair, and if I forget to say don't burn the meat they do. Also, the donair meat was cut thicker than it should be, which takes away from the taste. The meat is supposed to be cut thin. I can't describe how gross it is to eat thick donair meat but it's gross and completely changes the taste of the entire donair. Forgot to order extra donair sauce and there was next to none on it. Also, they double wrapped it in a wrap. I don't know if they ever did that before but I don't think they have because I think I'd remember biting into something that tastes mostly of wrap. I'd like to taste their burgers and fries, they may be good but we are not a fan of their pizzas, or mostly their donair. Its an awesome price for the huge donair providing they stop skimping on the meat and burning it,which is a simple fix, just ask and they are good to make sure it isn't burnt. Mixed emotions with this place. I wish they would put just a little more effort into their orders and we would go back. After tonight I just don't see us spending anymore money there unless it's to try the burger and fries. For the amount of money we spend on take out I do expect decent food. If there's always something big wrong with something you buy, like burnt meat, thickness of the meat, etc...it's not worth buying from there again. Will update if we decide to try their burgers and fries. And their online menu has not been updated or they charge more in store. They should get that fixed so people know...

My donair plate meat was very thick about almost an inch, and I did not personally enjoy the spice as that’s all you taste and you don’t get a taste of the meat I find it’s to much spice, & I ordered through Uber eats, the meat looked hand cut by a Knife. As someone who has 4 years experience plus in a pizza shop, I can tell. I did not enjoy it, and only took a few bites i gave it to someone else so it didn’t go to waste because the meat was very chewy like rubber. I’m also guessing they didn’t leave it on the grill for to long enough after shaving it off of a donair stick. Also in the Uber eats instructions I asked specifically for only 1 plate to be mixed in with gravy as my boyfriend wanted a donair poutine and they didn’t offer that. Hit and miss with this place. I've ordered delivery a number of times. Some days pizza is awesome so I order again. Next time pizza is burnt... order wings.. they're great. Next couple times they're terrible. Their burgers. One day their juicy and big and loaded with lettuce tomatoes etc. Next time they're dry... buns twice size of burger... get fries and they must have 4 different kinds of fries because they are different every time I order.
