I’d like to start with the point of, I have had nothing but great experiences here, and the food is fantastic. The reason for my bad review, is really for my grandpa. Him and my Grams have been going there since Ben Roberts owned the joint, so coming every summer for the last 49 years or so. My grandma died on 2021, and on Thursday my grandpa thought he would go there by himself, his first time going to eat by himself ever. He said the staff was nice enough, they sat him at the bar, gave him a beer, and a menu, then ignored him the rest of the time he was there. He tried to wave to the waitress to order food, but she was tunnel visioned focusing on her bigger tables. He couldn’t get anyone’s attention. He had been there awhile, finished his beer for a while, and was upset. He just but a $10 on the counter and left. He’s loved this place for so long. This not only deterred him from coming back to bass lake, but it also deterred him from going out to eat by himself. To the average person, this seems like nothing. But this is upsetting, for him to experience and for me to hear about. Your large tables are just as important as 1 person sitting at the bar....

We walked in and there were many tables available and a wait staff of 4 and they were all amazing at playing don’t look at the group of people at the door. We stood there for 15 minutes before a less patient person spoke up and asked if they were planing on seating any of us? They then looked at us and acted surprised that we were there. “Oh hello, how many of you are here?” We then waited another 15 minutes to be seated. I noticed the wait staff all kind of sequestered themselves behind the bar where they would take up to 5 minutes to enter an order into the computer, all were making their own drinks consistently behind the bar not attending to the patrons sitting in the expansive restaurant. We all had a front row seat to some serious slow motion, disorganized service. When we finally got the food it was low quality road house stuff. If you have to eat here I guess get some wings but I’d skip it and drive ahead to literally anywhere else...

I really want to love this place because it’s close to our home and the only place around us but the last 3/4 times we’ve gone it hasn’t been the greatest service.

You’re never acknowledged when you enter unless you’re a regular. The first time we went we stood there awkwardly until a waitress passing by said we could sit anywhere. Once you’re sat usually the wait times to be given menus/drink orders have been around 10-15 minutes. The last time was kind of the last straw for me as I was in the middle of ordering when a group the waitress knew came in and she literally turned around, away from me mid order and started talking to the group and took their drink orders. Then she turned back to us, took our menus and walked away. Of course my order was incorrect when it arrived. The food has been good though. From start to finish you’re usually looking at a 2 1/2 hour dining experience though as it is slow service, and this is when they’re...

Our visit to Bass Lake Roadhouse was extremely disappointing. - **Cold Food:** Everyone's food arrived cold, and the nachos were so cold they were practically glued together. - **Order Mistakes:** I specifically asked for a buffalo chicken wrap and it came without any buffalo sauce. - **Missing Items:** We asked for gravy and never received it. Our drinks were left empty for the entire meal with no refills offered. - **Lack of Basic Service:** We had to ask for cutlery and napkins, which should be standard. - **Terrible Service:** We waited 25 minutes just to get our bills, and during that time, no one came to check on us—not even a basic "two-bite" check. Our dirty plates sat in front of us for the entire wait. - **Unfriendly Staff:** The servers were unpleasant and made us feel like a burden. Overall, it was a horrible experience, and we won't be back. I can't recommend this place to anyone.

New patio is a game changer for Bass Lake Road House. We've been going there for almost 40 years. Nothing has changed in that time. Same OLD . The new patio on the side is a very welcome addition. Beautiful stone pavers and all new patio furniture and umbrellas. Has some nice shade also. If they could upgrade the food, it would be 5 star. Some offerings are OK. some not so good. The wing and rib combo are a good option. Some of the sandwich options taste like they're pre-made. Processed. Definitely love the new patio. Also the paved driveway. No more dust in the convertible.

Update post! Decided to order take out as covid has sitting down closed. Really a good price point for 5 meals. Portion is big, lots of wings BUT my only issue was I didn't know there were veggies on the bottom underneath the paper under my hot wings🤔heads up would have been great, even if they became hot veggies. Many put in a ziplock as a side. The fries where hot and lots of them. Good Philly Sandwich, Ribs and Calamari. Will definitely be back.
