I really want this cafe to succeed and hoped my dining experience would have been wonderful, but it wasn’t the case.
I went for the breakfast meal. They have “Le Cab” breakfast for $9. A very average price for a breakfast special. Except it only includes 1 egg (as opposed to two), there is no meat (as opposed to a choice of bacon, sausage or ham), some potatoes and comes with a tiny jar of jam. Coffee is included (and does taste great; it is flavorful and bold). This is a very light breakfast for me, so I ordered an extra egg and some ham. (What restaurant serves just 1 egg for a breakfast plate?). With a glass of OJ, my order came up to $24 with tax and tip (see picture).
My easy-over eggs were way overcooked. The yoke was cooked solid. The potatoes and eggs were not seasoned at all and therefore tasted bland. The sliced ham (ordered as an extra) was very thin. The jam was good but barely enough to cover only ½ of a piece of toast. Does the plate below look like $24 worth? I don’t mind paying higher prices, but I must get value for it. At the moment, I don’t see the value.
Hopefully things will improve as I’d love nothing more than to give a great review for a startup operation. But it’s just...

We always support small shops because they’re the soul of a town—the heart where community gathers, creativity flows, and lasting connections are made. Places like this remind us of simpler times, of coming together, especially meaningful in a world still healing from the pandemic.

To anyone passing through, don’t miss this spot. It’s a sweet pause that brings you back to what really matters.
Thank you for the hospitality, and wishing you continued success and love in everything you...
