Little Denier Restaurant — Restaurant in Eastport

I’m very upset I chose to give this place a shot thinking negative reviews were just not true.

I’ve never had worse food served to me in my life, as an untrained cook any meals I’ve made that dident come out right still tasted better then what was served.

I give everything a try cause ya never know and reviews aren’t always correct or fair.

I feel it’s a tourist trap pay for food before you see it and most likely the customers are only ever there once .

Adult meal looked like a child’s portion, fish was a soggy mush, never seen fish behave like that at the dinner table, was really so bad I’m very confused who is cooking the food.

I love supporting local business and always without taking the review’s seriously, I like to give places a chance regardless and do so with pleasure

Unfortunately this establishment (if ONE of the provinces TWO health inspectors) paid a visit they would be shut down on the spot.

Luckily we never got sick from the food, but while eating it definitely worried what the next morning would bring. Other then not so pleasant diarrhea I’m still alive

One other thing that seemed weird, 2 or 3 signs around on on door one by cash etc “joke” signs saying no whiners aloud,I took it as a joke first but after eating my assumption is they get a lot of complaints but just call those customers whiners?

I’m shocked this place is standing..should not be!

Writing review as a big man who loves Newfoundland and good grub! I am Unbiased, honest and reliable, I only leave negative reviews when absolutely just. I don’t believe in posting false info

We went to the Little Denier this morning for breakfast with some of our family who were visiting from out of province and while we hate to leave a negative account of our dining experience, we have to at least warn others. We had good memories of this little restaurant from a few yrs ago ( previous owners) as being a yummy place to enjoy a quick breakfast or lunch, but apparently the restaurant is now under new ownership, and I can quite honestly say the fare was less than desirable, and I'm being polite. We had 2 little kiddies in our party who became quite restless waiting at least 45 mins to eat after we had already placed our order. There was only one server and that was one young man who was wearing a ball cap and tshirt and while he was doing his best, it just wasnt good enough. Our eggs and horrible, greasy bacon were cold, the pancakes were a joke and one of us in our group ordered a hamburger that you could use as an ice puck. It was hard as tack, cold and grossly over cooked. Sadly, we were disappointed to the extreme, not to mention embarrassed for our guests; and for that reason we will not return. Unbelievably fantastic customer service! When calling the restaurant and asking if they are open, the owner has often told us that if we are coming, they will remain open! And then the food was top-notch! Exactly the way we liked it, and since we were the only ones there, the owners custom made our orders the way we wanted! The pan fried cod is our favourite!

Also very child friendly! They have toys to entertain children and they are very helpful and welcoming.

I would really like to commend the owners for doing such a wonderful job!
