sad to write this.. we used to love coming to Judy's. We arrived at 1pm for 'all day breakfast" to be handed the breakfast menu, then have it removed after staff said "oh we don't do that any more". OK.. meanwhile my tea arrived really wrong and backwards.. took another 10 min or so for creams etc..20 min in she returns and so we ordered from entree's .. mine was roast beef and mashed, other was Shepards pie (which anyone knows has mashed potatoes BAKED on top).. she came back and announced "I forgot we don't do mashed potatoes on Mondays" (WHAT????) , we tried to figure out even on the Shepards pie?? yes she said it would come w/o (clearly the girl has never had Shepards pie). so .. again.. change our order -- i ordered chicken parm - and i explained 4 ways that did NOT want any extra parm sprinkled on (she even repeated it back).. it came w/ Parm on it.. the pasta was cool - not hot. the cheese in the pasta wasn't melted. and the kicker - the "garlic bread" ? was texas toast.. taken out of the toaster barely warm - with garlic "spread" on it (wasn't even melted - was soo gross). the marinara on the dish was excellent however. the other two ordered Ruben's -- which were well made.. but also asked for a spinach salad "if you could make it a side".. when the salad didn't show - we asked why ? "oh cause you said "If it could be a side - it couldn't so i didn't get it" but never came to us for a 2nd choice either?? It took a long while again for the entres. 4.00 extra to swap in onion rings we also felt was crazy expensive. each time we requested a drink - same - meanwhile she was mopping the floor in the non-used area of the restaurant (which i'm sure she was TOLD to do.. but meanwhile customers weren't being served". All in all.. slow, semi hot, messed up orders for 3 cost 75.00. we...

We stopped in en route and upon walking in, I noticed there readily available bathrooms between the outside door and inside door to the restaurant. I wanted to be quick so i took a quick look at the take out menu and from I remember it had a classic burger, hot dog, chili dog, and chicken fingers, it had a few more options I don't remember currently. I saw that the chicken fingers are priced at 10.95 and I thought it was a tad expensive but hoping for good portion size. I asked how many chicken fingers came for the meal and she confused me with chicken wings and explained that you get a little more than 1lb of chicken wings in an order. So I asked for the chicken fingers instead and she rung me up - they accept cash, debit, and all credit except American express. I waited a few minutes for my order and it was relatively good timing for food prep and cook time. When I recieved my order there was a container of plum sauce and a container of coleslaw. I don't eat coleslaw so I couldn't tell you if it was good. There were four chicken fingers, half decent size and batter, super hot temp, and probably and least 6 cups worth of fries, a huge amount I couldn't finish them. They were a little over-cooked but still good none the less. Overall 6/10 if I were in the area,...

The food has changed, and not for the better. I ordered the same thing I typically would order in the past, which is the crispy chicken banquet as take out. Previously it was made with fresh breaded chicken and had real cheese, a fresh bun. The lettuce previously was never the best but i would just throw some of my own on. What we received this visit was nothing like previous. The chicken was a awful ground up breaded thing that appeared to be cooked from frozen, the bacon was horrendously salty, the cheese was the fake kraft singles type, the bun was not fresh and very crumbly, the lettuce was brown. I also asked for no tomato and there was, of course, tomato on it. The fries also didn't seem as good as before. The whole this was a total disappointment. I can't believe what we were served. This was one of the few places left in town we thought had decent take out, but it's now dropped right off the list. Their other issue is they don't have correct hours posted on their site, considering half the time when we called during the posted hours, there would be no answer and...

The food was good, don't get us wrong. We got a club sandwhich and a chili cheese poutine, with a can of iced tea and a coffee which ended up 50$. Very expensive for what we got :/ the waitress offered a lot of options when we ordered, but didn't let us know anything she offered us was extra charge. We ended up being charged for the fries with the sandwhich, even thought the menu says they are included. My boyfriend got rye bread cuz the waitress offered it as an option, didn't tell us that was extra charge. And then the waitress offered my boyfriend gravy with said fries to which he said sure! Again, she didn't tell us extra charge. We ended up with almost 10$ of extras that we wouldn't have gotten if we knew they where extra charges. The server was nice, but omitted the extra charges. The only thing we did really like was the cute truck stop decor. Would not recommend for a quick bite, way too expensive.

Grilled cheese with potato bacon soup. Bacon chunks surprised me and added substance to the soup. Triple Texas toast slices made up the sandwich, another surprise. Awesome food. When I entered, I saw the freezers with already made entries ready to take home--another day, the lasagna looked very tempting. Pies and cheesecake was the next display--mmmmm supper tempting. Note: Lemon pie was a little sparce of filling. Next was the antiques displaying jams, sauces, and pickles. Next is the large counter with the grab-and-go sweets. The room and table area were clean and spacious and open. Reading the wall signs keeps you entertained along with the 2 tvs. Washroom was spacious and very clean as well. Located at the junction of 124 and 24, (a little west of Erin, Ontario.) with the gas station.
