Beautiful lakefront restaurant. The most delicious food ever. They have the best pasta. Our server Gaurav was so nice! Also, have an authentic Indian jewelry & clothing shop as well. The chef also sent us the hot cilantro chutney and salad which was a game-changer. Highly recommend going in the daylight for gorgeous pictures of the view. Perfect place for family outings/meals and a nice date
2nd review - so my next visit experience was different. We happened to have an accident where our drink got spilled and the restaurant owner charges us for double drinks, the one got that got spilled and the replacement. Also at the end of dinner, we ordered 1 menu item in desserts and they got us two of them by mistake we let them know that we only ordered one but they offered to have the other one too which I got was a nice gesture but they charged us for that extra unwanted dessert too which was but of surprise because we didn't order it in the first place and the restaurant was sort of empty that night and it felt like they just try to make money from whatever clients they got?! I don't know it left me with not so nice feeling.
I left two separate reviews because it was a different experience both times.
Also, I realized that they have a private room for parties upstairs as well up to the capacity of 70 people for events like weddings and...
Read moreThere were pros as well as cons to this place. Pros were: location was quite beautiful, nice patio, interior and bathrooms were nice. I quite enjoyed the Indian food I got (although my friend didn't agree), price was great because it came with both naan and rice, which I always get and can get expensive when adding to meals. Portion size was good. I liked that it wasn't too salty, I've been having bad luck with salt levels in Indian food lately for some reason. Cons: bird crap on the picnic table, had to ask to get it cleaned off, and it didn't all come off. They probably need a new finish. For takeout with a tray or something I wouldn't have minded so much, but it was pretty gross for dine in with cutlery directly on the table, etc. service was friendly... But it took over an hour to get our food. The place was empty and closing by the time we finished eating. Although I enjoyed my food, my friend ordered the "Margherita pizza", which came with zero basil despite being on the menu. It basically came out looking like a well done extra cheese pizza, which is a pretty far cry from a Margherita. Were we foolish for ordering an Italian pizza style from an Indian food restaurant? Maybe, if it had a hint of basil leaves I might give...
Read moreI never write reviews on restaurants because I’ve worked in the restaurant industry and know what it is like, but this place I hate to say deserves a 0 star rating. We were greeted by a 12 ish year old (could be the son who was very polite) and we’re brought to the inside of the restaurant and was told to sit wherever we go wanted (which is fine). We then were given menus by the child from before hand and then waited about 20 minutes before a gentleman approached our table. We had to initiate a “hello”. He just stood at our table without even saying anything. We ate earlier so we were just going to order drinks and a medium pizza with wings. Once I requested that the guy said “what do you mean that’s for you guys, usually that’s a one person meal”’ . He judged our decision so much that I decided to pick a larger pizza just to accommodate him. He was obviously the owner and assumed we would be “cheap customers” even though each drink we ordered was 5.75 . Plus the pizza and wing deal doesn’t come with toppings. I was very upset by his behaviour that we left with disappointment. It is sad local businesses treat locals or anyone like that. I will never recommend...
