McRay's Roadhouse Grill — Restaurant in Fort McMurray

I had a chance to try a few of the menu items while working in Ft Mac and get a good look at this place before making my overall review.

Food quality was very good! I had the 2 pasta dishes and both were excellent! I like how their specials were items that weren't even on the menu, and many of them were hard to pass up. I have to be honest though, the French Onion soup was not quite like I usually have it. Normally those onions form a caramelized broth giving it that darker color and flavor! The cheese wasn't quite as stringy. Just a bit bland, but nothing too bad. Although I didn't take advantage of it, the all day breakfast feature is great to have, especially if those who work have to be out earlier and miss breakfast completely.

Well it was great to have a place to eat after work each night. I'll be back again...

the restaurant is clean , the service was spot on , kind , good knowledge of menu items, and very friendly , my coffee was refreshed regularly without asking, the meal was served with little wait time, i had the eggs benny, and asked if they could add tomato, and it was no issue , the eggs were cooked perfectly as to my liking, the hollandaise was smooth creamy and not to thick ( bang on) i choose shredded hash and again cooked perfectly nice an crispy and not to greasy , there was no seasoning added while they cooked the hash, so i got to add my salt and pepper which is perfect!! i will repeat...

I recently had an opportunity to eat here with my dad after not being in Fort McMurray for nearly 30 years, having been born here. We made a last-minute decision to stay at the BCMinn Rusty’s. The service we received from the bar manager, Rochelle, was prompt, very kind, and accommodating.
