We only been here once before the fire and haven't gone back until a couple of days ago, I was craving Pho soup...well they improve their food tenfold since the last time I was there, the broth was on point and the meat and noodles were perfectly cooked. They lost points on not serving their pho with Basil and bean sprouts and a lime...this was the first place I've gone that did this...my wife enjoyed her Vietnamese chicken bowl she loved the favor. We also had a onion cake, we both wish it was cooked alittle bit longer it wasn't crispy enough. The decor was like a run down Chinese restaurant on 99st Edmonton and they have plenty of parking around the building. They also serve beer and wine and bubble tea. There was only one server on, she did amazing with 6 tables there...she was very polite and fast. When I first came here 3 years ago I would of gave them 2 stars but they earned there 4 star rating. They're the only Vietnamese restaurant in town and I'm glad they aren't terrible so if I have that craving again I will go back.

One of my favourite place to go for Thai/Chinese food. Healthy and fresh delicious food. Great service 👍. Not much wait time. Reasonable price. Sizzling hot plates of curry chicken, seafood, shrimp are delicious. Mango salad with shrimp is mouth watering. Noodles soup was so good. Fried rice is the best rice in town for me. Fried pork was good too. Highly recommend others to try this restaurant.

I Just spent 3 weeks in the bush. This was my first stop when I got out. I was craving Pho like a bear after hibernation. I was impressed, especially for Fort McMurray (no offense) and to top it off they have a few Filipino dishes so I copped some bangus to go. Again presently surprised. I will be back to try the Tapsilog !

I am giving a very low rate because I AM NOT GETTING WHAT I AM PAYING FOR.

My family used to go to sweet basil when they were up in gregoire and loved the restaurant and their sweet worker. The worker was a Chinese lady and she was always very nice but she does not seem to be working as Sweet Basil is now with Blue Diamond. However, ever since they moved to Blue Diamond location, it has been very unsatisfying. We now order from skipthedishes and have been having issues with our order. We always order Pork Chop which comes with an egg, tomatoes and cucumbers, but suddenly it does not come with an egg and tomatoes but the prices are the same as the original. Although, we noticed that when we call them to note that we'd like our eggs over easy, and if it's the Blue Diamond lady who picks up the call we do not get any eggs or tomatoes, but funny enough that if it was other employees we get them. It's confusing why the Blue diamond lady would want to charge for an egg and say that they do not have tomatoes in the restaurant. I would assume every restaurant has tomatoes.

I know it's just an egg and tomatoes but when you order your food, you'd expect it to be the same as before. I really think that the Blue diamond and Sweet basil employees should get on the same page and that the customers are receiving the said food consistently and not have missing items...

Sweet Basil? More like sweet Jesus that was terrible! I have a theory that all the best Vietnamese places I've been to always have one fruit fly that flys around you while you eat which has become normal to me, but when I went to the washroom I walked through a cloud of those bastards like I was vigorously riding a bicycle through the mountains with my mouth open. They hit my face like I was walking through the 90s hanging bead curtain my sister had at the entrance to her room. I was wondering if I was on a prank show when I was dipping my spring roll in to what I thought was green tea while she laughed at me from the kitchen. If some of you think this is the good Vietnamese restaurant in ft Mac I cant imagine what the bad one is like. Actually it's probably about the same but while you're eating they come out and punch you in the throat. I've never put so much hot sauce on my vermicelli bowl in my life trying to give it...
