Panago Pizza — Restaurant in Fort Saskatchewan

Update: This place has really gone down hill. Three times in a row I've had my order fouled-up. The cleanliness and sanitation doesn't seem to be as high a priority as it once was, either. It's still ok, just not a notable feature any more.

This is my go-to pizza place. I order the "budget" pepperoni pizza. Some might find the toppings a bit sparse, but for me it's a plus. I really like their crust, it's crispy and chewy, with a nice flavor. I've tried their recipe pizzas, which obviously have more generous toppings, and I find myself missing the crust being front-and-centre.

When waiting for pizza, you'll often see them taking dough balls, hand rolling and stretching them on to the trays to rest and rise.

The place is kept clean, and the servers frequently visit the sink to quickly wash their hands when changing tasks. I've never seen them forget to do this.

I really didn't like their chicken wings at all. They were almost gelatinous. No mark down for that, though. I just don't get their wings.

The decor isn't much. A few window stools, but they're not a dine-in place. It's clean, bright, and the prep area is...

The good first. Pizza is delicious. I had the thin wheat crust with pesto and veggies. I loved it.

Now the bad... I don't understand why they have an online system to place orders if they then don't prepare them. I got there right on time to pick up my pizza, I had the email saying my order was confirmed... and it wasn't ready. When I asked why they told me they thought my order was a prank. It was one pizza. I didn't order 100 pizzas. One large pizza. Nothing on my order was suspicious.

They said they called my phone number but because I didn't pick up they cancelled my order. I don't have phone service in this area.. and even if I did, I was in a swimming pool when the phone calls were made. They never sent an email after the confirmation.

If that is your policy, put in the webpage a message saying that orders need to be confirmed by phone or they will be cancelled automatically.

The attendant apologized multiple times, made the pizza right away and brought it to my car.. which I appreciated.

Now you know... If you place an order online have your phone around or you won't get...

Ive ordered from Panago in Fort Sask for the last year and a half, and every time I have always recieved exactly what I ordered, its Hot and more often than not it arrives 5 to 10 minutes sooner than estimated.

Very happy with the staff, from the phone, to the kitchen and even the delivery drivers have always been professional, courteous and friendly.

I often order a different pizza or side dish every time, and I can say all their Pizzas are consistently made with just the right amount of toppings, generous but not overwhelming, the right amount of sauce so you can taste it, but the toppings dont slide off the dough, a tasty layer of melted cheese on top, and oven baked perfectly.

My favorite thing about Panago is that the crust isnt saturated with oil, so its safe to assume it will still taste great the next day too :)

I also agree with other reviews on this Panago, the wings (boneless and bone-in) are not the highlight. Search elsewhere if you'd like the best wings in town, but Panago has the best Pizza in town...
