Beautiful and flavourful top notch products just across the river! 😍

On the pâtisserie front, we tried the diminutive and delightful "Tartelette au Sucre." This was a miniature single serve (although we easily cut it into 4 bites) high end sugar pie. The light mascarpone vanilla cream on top made it all fancy without taking anything away from the perfectly delicious sugar pie filling. Can't wait to try more of these!

🥖 The bread selection is generous and if the crusty rye "La Rustique" baguette and the 100% spelt "Épeautre" loaf we tried are any indication, this is among the very best bread in the region. ⭐️

🥐 Viennoiseries were also of excellent quality. The Croissant didn't quite have the shattering crisp texture of exterior perfection but the butter flavour was the nicest I've encountered in recent years. (They also make croissant sandwiches, which might explain why they opt for a softer texture.) The Chocolatine on the other hand had a perfectly shattering exterior and a generous 3 sticks of chocolate within! The almond "Croissant aux Amandes" was similarly well executed with perfect textures of crisp almonds, crusty croissant, and a light spread of decadent almond paste. Balanced perfection! ❤️

☕️ Our only complaint was that they have literally nowhere to eat inside the building. This was disappointing as we were hoping to enjoy a coffee and some pastries for breakfast. So we had to either eat in the car or drive home and eat there. I'm no fan of vehicular victuals so we took the 20 minutes to drive home and made our own lattes with which to enjoy our haul.

I am absolutely addicted to this artisan specialty bakery. I have never been one for baked goods and artisan breads, etc. but there is a karate shop next-door to Maison Oddo and every week my husband and I bring our daughter to karate and we saw people just flocking in and out of this place so we got curious… All I have to say is - once you go to Maison Oddo and try something, anything, whether it’s their sandwiches or the artisan bread or the special desserts, you will be a lifelong customer!! Not only is the quality of everything superb, but the atmosphere and staff are beyond amazing. Everyone there is friendly, fast and sweet - just like the desserts 😉 I very rarely write reviews for any place, but if you are reading this right now, all you need to do is check it out one time and you will know ☺️😊 One [MINOR] negative critique, everything is in French only inside the store. Considering we are next-door to Ottawa., it would be nice if the signage of all the items were French and English… BUT- the staff are mostly bilingual and I believe the website online is in both French and English. The staff was EXCELLENT, they were warm and very polite, incredibly helpful and obviously care about their client & their baked goods/coffee.

The shop itself is absolutely beautiful! It feels very cozy while remaining sleek & modern, the smell of freshly baked bread will overtake you!

Last but not least, the baked goods themselves. The Pomme & Canelle was so flaky and delicious it almost brought me to tears. Not overly sweet like most places, it has that distinct apple taste & soft slices hidden inside. The cinammon really brought it all together!

I bought a loaf which I have not yet tasted (Miche au Levain) but upon the lady at the counter handing it to me with a warm smile under her mask, I could immediately feel how crunchy & delicious it was about to be. It was warm to the touch and obviously baked with care. They even sliced it for me.

The coffee is also delicious and hand pressed delicately by staff! I'm not even usually a big coffee person but I was stunned.

💚 Overall Maison Oddo is the best bakery in Quebec that I know of & I recommend it to anyone who will listen
