Stopped in at the end of a bike ride in the area for a cold beer and dinner. There was not room on the patio but lots inside and we got a table by a back window so we got a view of the sunset over the lake anyway. Suited us just fine.

Service was slow. It started with confusion over who was going to look after the inside tables. We eventually got a beer although 3 of the taps were empty so choices were not as robust as they should have been. Then we waited for someone to come back and take our food order.

Once that happened and we finished the first round I had to get up and chase the bartender for a 2nd round. Eventually our food came. The Jerk chicken penne pasta was not very Jerk flavoured. My wife took the leftovers home for my son to eat and he did not like it either.

My back ribs were tough and the sauce on them was...well different. My brother-in-law had the Thai sauce jambalaya. Turns out the Thai sauce was blackbean sauce. In summary the food was mediocre.

We moved on to coffee and dessert because they were advertising chocolate chip bread pudding with cream. Bread pudding is a favorite of mine. My wife wanted decaf coffee and the waitress said she "no problem I will brew a fresh pot". Then 3 coffees came out quickly and the decaf was lukewarm. So my wife complained and another waitress apologized and said she would "brew a fresh pot". Problem is that the dessert showed up and my wife did not have her coffee to go with it. They showed up and poured the now hot coffee into her mug with the remaining cold coffee!

The bread pudding was a disappointment. Very bland.

Then we had to wait and wait to catch our waitress to get her to bring the bill. And then wait for her to come back with the credit card machine.

All during dinner we had a beautiful view of the lake and the patio. During our dinner there was almost always an empty table that they could have sat us at. If they were more efficient they could have turned those tables over quicker. Missed opportunity to increase their sales.

I overheard staff complaining. They made it sound like they were short staffed. I seen busier restaurants well managed with the same...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Beach Lakefront Bar & Grill, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the serene patio, which offered breathtaking views of the picturesque lake. It was a perfect setting to unwind and enjoy a delightful meal.

Speaking of meals, the food at The Beach was truly delicious. The menu featured a variety of options to cater to different preferences, and each dish was expertly prepared. From the first bite to the last, the flavors danced on my palate, leaving me thoroughly satisfied. The combination of well-executed recipes and high-quality ingredients showcased the culinary expertise of the chefs.

What truly stood out to me, however, was the warm and friendly demeanor of the staff. From the moment I entered the premises until the time I left, I was greeted with genuine smiles and attentive service. The waitstaff was knowledgeable about the menu, and their recommendations were spot-on. Their enthusiasm and dedication to ensuring a pleasant dining experience added an extra layer of enjoyment to my visit.

The overall ambiance of The Beach was inviting and relaxing. The carefully arranged seating options on the patio allowed me to fully immerse myself in the tranquility of the lake's surroundings. Whether I was enjoying a conversation with friends or simply taking in the view, the atmosphere lent itself to a sense of serenity that is hard to find elsewhere.

To sum it up, my visit to The Beach Lakefront Bar & Grill was a memorable one. The combination of the beautiful lakeside setting, delectable food, and the warm smiles of the staff created an exceptional dining experience. I would highly recommend The Beach to anyone looking for a place to unwind, indulge in flavorful cuisine, and be embraced by an atmosphere of genuine hospitality.

Kudos to the entire team at The Beach for their commitment to excellence. I look forward to returning soon to create more lasting memories in...

I had a very unpleasant experience with their customer service.

I visited the restaurant before and loved the views, food and atmosphere. Drove out 45mins just to visit the restaurant with more guests for the long weekend, specifically asked if we could get a table where we can see the sunset. When I was booking the reservation, I originally asked for 7.00PM but was told that only available time slot for that specific seat with the sunset will be available at 6.30PM. So we took the 6.30PM reservation, showed up and was told that other people are still eating. we got another table around 6.45PM which the view was blocked by trees and other tables. The host told us which table that we were supposed to get, and the people on the table left around 7PM. As soon as the table was cleared out, we asked to move the table as we only got water at that time. But the server told us that the table is for another group and that time slot is different. She said she supervises other servers and she needs to talk to them that booking for specific table is not allowed.

I was frankly disappointed as this was my second visit and I was able to book it first time and all of a sudden AFTER we showed up for this reservation, we were told that "sorry, but whoever was booking it for you guys shouldn't have done that, that's not allowed" and was chatting with other servers "Right? booking a specific table is not allowed!" in a very joking manner then nothing else was done. We didn't get the service that we were promised. We CERTAINLY wouldn't have driven 45 mins to visit the restaurant if we knew that beforehand. Overall, I don't think the situation was handled in a very professional way neither.

I loved the restaurant, recommending to other people whoever going up to Lake Simcoe but it's sad how this experience ruined the whole perception of...

Scroll for updated review! There's really only one reason to come here and it's the lake facing patio. The food is terrible, the service is hit and miss and the inside just reeks! I can't imagine what the kitchen is like It's such a shame because there is some real potential here due to it's location UPDATE: September 2019 Now operating as The Beach lakefront bar & grill; sometimes hopes are realized 😉 New owner and management- thank goodness! The owner/proprietor of Father's Moustache in Aurora has taken over this gem location and other than a couple of new additions the menu is Father's Moustache. We were here earlier in the summer but it was so slammed and the staff were so far in the weeds that I didn't have the heart to review them, so I waited for things to settle down; unfortunately the lack of proper front of the house training is still evident. Although it was a beautiful September day, and the "tourists" and weekenders were gone for the most part, it was still a fairly busy day - not crazy busy but decent turnover, sadly the service wasn't on point. We finished an entire pitcher of beer before our lunch made it to the table- it was clear that our server had forgotten about us. Food was good though, fresh and tasty and truly it's hard to be miffed when the view is so chill! I have no doubt that they'll get it together at the front of the house and despite a couple of failings, the staff are all friendly and accommodating, come and check it out

We keep coming back to a perfect spot by the perfect water that serves the perfect fare. It brings the feeling of being in the right place at the right time. That time is on a hot, sunny summer day after the beach's cool refreshing water, you're hungry, thirsty and you need to still be outdoors and then complimented by the dance of experienced servers and a symphony of meal orchestrated by a Maestro- a simple offering but a really well done tasty delight... I had the Mussels in a creamy cheese sauce-a dab of white wine should be added to the sauce-complimented with lemon and Tabasco and Garlic Bread. Cheese Sticks with marinara for the table. My son had the Steak sandwich-mushrooms and he was happy-fries are very good, my wife had a Tuna mango salad that was OK. The food is simple and overall very good, a great bang for the buck and the servers are aces. All of the staff pitches in, and it makes for a well run establishment. The view is absolutely splendid.
