Campbell's Drive-In Restaurant — Restaurant in Gordon/Barrie Island

I visit Manitoulin Island every summer. We usually always hit up Campbells. It was very disappointing to see the food quality and portions go down hill and the prices go up. Visited the other night with family we ordered a burger with the works, one poutine and one order of fries with gravy. A meatball sub a pogo, and an order of mushroom caps, with ice cream and a pizza to go. The meatball sub was shameful. It was on an untoasted hot dog bun. Looked and tasted extremely disappointing. The fries were not even home cooked. They looked and tasted exactly like crinkle cut McCain fries. The portions were so small. Shame on you Campbells. The gravy was meh. The mushroom caps were very overcooked almost burnt. The burger was average. The pogo was ok. The only good thing was the ice cream in waffle cones. The pizza to go was a meat lovers with green olives. It was so expensive. Sorry Campbell’s but not very good....

First visit: Stopped in for famous Farquar's ice cream which no one should miss several times while on the Island. service was friendly. Second visit: Food - good, not great and suggest they find a different supplier for their seafood sauce because it was either old or just really bad Service: nice, friendly older lady; older man not so much...shot me a very unwelcome glance Third visit: only wanted fries which are great Service: at first, it was the older lady who took our order and she was friendly as always but then as I looked to the back, I saw the younger raven-haired woman just try to glare me down with a nasty, hateful look. Honestly, who does that snd WHY??? Recommend the food is ok and hope no one else gets that hateful look like I did. We have a name for women like that but I'll remain polite...

It was our first time here. The outside dining area was so nice and we were looking forward to enjoying our meal. We ordered a pizza and unfortunately it wasn’t great. Way too much oregano seasoning and the pepperoni was put under the cheese so it didn’t get crispy. It was rubbery from basically being boiled under the cheese. We didn’t eat much of the pizza. If I went again I would ask them not to add all that oregano or Italian seasoning on top of the sauce. (when I took the pizza apart it looked like it was sprinkled on top of the sauce) And would ask for the toppings to be ON TOP of the cheese :) We also ordered wings. They were ok, very saucy but weren’t served hot. Service...
