New Brunswick vacation to NFL, Stopped in to have supper arrived at 6:40 , walked in and was told you can sit at table 15 was given menus , the young lady came over at 6:55 to take our order , the cook hollered out from the kitchen that the grill was off . And we were asked to leave. The sign said they close at 8 🤷‍♀️ last night we thought we would try again everyone talked about the best fish and chips in NFL , so we went early this time , the restaurant wasn’t busy. Sat done ordered pan fried cod and chips for my mother In Law and fish and chips for me and my boyfriend got a burger , his burger was delicious as for our fish we we’re totally disappointed pan fried was greasy and mine was really under cooked and dripping with grease,(soggy, battered cod,) I know it was deep fried, I have had deep fried fish before this was like the grease wasn’t hot enough, they never came back to the table to ask how the food was or to see it we wanted anything else.Had to go to the counter to get our bill :( also was had to set our own placement , very...

Really pull off the "homestyle" they go for, fish and chips are THE BEST I've had the pleasure of trying, I'm from nb so my opinion is definitely biased to that degree but either way they pull off batter better than any restaurant I've ever been too or worked in.
Burgers were a good average, little too "homestyle" for my preference but definitely enjoyable.
Big crunch was one of the better chicken burgers I've had, I added bacon as is traditional for me. And again they pull off the batter.
The carrot cake and red velvet cake... 6 out of 5 stars. if anything, go there for the cake, both dessert and fish.

I’m very disappointed with my experience, I have always loved this restaurant and the atmosphere it provides. I have been to this restaurant a few times over the past couple of years and have always had a positive experience, unlike this time. I’ve heard amazing things about their fish and chips and decided to give them a try myself. There was a very thick, doughy batter that ruined the experience of the fish for me. Unlike the pictures I have seen of their fish from others, this fish was absolutely not as pictured or described. The service I received wasn’t friendly or welcoming either. The lady who served me never cracked a smile once, when I tried to make conversation I was ignored.
