We were quite disappointed with service, food & atmosphere. We sat down at our table, there was a hair on it (was it cleaned after the last customers?) The server was not friendly and quite uninerested. She brought my daughter chocolate milk when she ordered apple juice. (We didn't complain) We ordered fish & chips, my husband ordered the club sandwich. Server plopped napkins and a pile of silverware on top along with little packages of tarter sauce. No ketchup, no malt vinegar. We had to ask. Server asked us if we wanted our bun because "that way she doesn't have to throw them out." Fish was battered thick with pancake batter, fries tasted like McCain crispy fries, coleslaw was warm. My daughter had to ask for her side of gravy she ordered. The clubhouse was alright, it's hard to mess a sandwich up. Half way through our meal, the Server walked by and slid the bill on our table. We took a few more bites, paid our bill & left.
We won't be back. So unfortunate because we would sooner support small, locally...
Read moreThis was without a doubt the most god awful service I've ever come across. It was so bad, in fact, I felt like I was in a sitcom. From the sourpuss server with chronic RBF to glares across the restaurant when I asked for a knife and fork to eat my food.
Unless the restaurant went up in flames when they overcooked my garlic bread I don't think it could've gone any worse than it did.
I was in Tammy's for 28 long minutes, and for 20 of those minutes I didn't have food. Not to mention when I did have food, it was verging on cold and practically thrown onto my table.
We walked in and before my chair had properly cradled my cheeks my server had snapped at me. Apparently in the 30 seconds I had been in there I was supposed to have read through the menu and decided on drinks.
I will say though, it's a mighty fine road trip story and that grimacing server will always be etched into my mind. I don't know what her name was but she looked like the kind of person to have a first name that rhymed with...
Read moreMy wife and I go often to tammy's restaurant on the weekends, and have for the past couple of years. I'm not sure if they have new ownership or a new cook but the hamburger was under cooked, the gravy tasted like wet flour and they gave me dark meet when I specifically said I wanted white meat when they asked if I wanted dark or white meat on my turkey club (the mayo tasted off as well). I don't now for sure but I always assumed it was a given to get white meat on a turkey club. Anyway, we won't be going back for a while and when and if we do, we will peak into the kitchen first to see if it's the sane people cooking. I wish I didn't have to give this review but heads up. This is thie first time I didn't give a tip and it was over priced for the amount you got, bad cooking aside. The lady who usually cooks there is very good and this time it was an older gentleman cooking. Hopefully this is a one-off because it is mother's day and I hope they didn't get rid of...
