Cortina Pizza Hanmer — Restaurant in Greater Sudbury

If I could give this place no stars I would. We preordered pizza’s/ salad / appetizers for a friend who came out of surgery, it was clear on the invoice to be delivered the next day post surgery. This was so the family wouldn’t have to cook as they have a month old baby and a 3 year old. The restaurant made the mistake of delivering it on the wrong date and time. When I contacted the restaurant I spoke with one of rudest employees I’ve ever encountered. She told me that there is nothing they could do because the person at the door accepted the delivery ( note: the person at the door didn’t know we ordered it for them it was a surprise). She said had the person at the door denied the order she may of been able to do something. She further explained that if the items were returned she could have repurposed the salad, placed the pizzas on the warmers to sell them and who knows who would have ended up with very old appetizer. She refused to be accommodating in any way or offer any solution to their mistake. In the end we are out $90 for our effort to help out a friend to a heartless restaurant who wouldn’t make even a slight effort to correct their mistake. Very very disappointed have been going to cortina since I was a kid, and within the last couple years it has really really gone downhill. Tonight I ordered a combo platter and was told 20 minutes i ended up waiting roughly 45, which in itself is not the issue. The combo platter comes with dips for mozz sticks, wings etc all dips were forgotten. Ended up having to go back customer service was very rude and dismissive. Found a HUGE tomato in spaghetti dip that took up most of dip container and was cold when it’s supposed to be warm. The worst part of everything was the chicken wings. Waitresses need work! Ordered 2 kitchen sinks, appetizer platter, large Caesar salad and a kids chicken strip meal. Waitress specifically made us repeat the chicken strip meal twice and corrected us and said “ you mean chicken fingers “ which we replied “ yes “. She brings out all the food except the kids meal. So I get up to over and ask where the kids meal is, she goes “ I must’ve forgot “ all the adults were done eating before my daughters meal even made it to the table.
