Really wish I could leave a better review but we were honestly pretty disappointed. The service started out great where we were offered a private table in the wine cellar which we thought was unique. Our server brought us wine according to our preference but one of them wasn’t so great. The appetizers weren’t bad but our issue was with the mains. The mussels in the pasta had a foul smell and taste plus I almost chipped a tooth from biting into something really hard (we assume sand and grit from the mussels not being cleaned properly.) So I picked out the rest of the mussels because I didn’t want to get sick which happened shortly after anyways. The veal was alright but nothing crazy. The one thing we did really enjoy were the desserts though. It’s really unfortunate because the presentation of the food was beautiful but the quality and taste were just not matching up. We were also really surprised that our server didn’t bother to do anything after he asked how our meal was and we told him we weren’t happy with our mains. He even saw all the mussels I picked out but still acted completely unfazed. Nothing was discounted or comped from the bill either. Overall, I think we would’ve given a 4 star for effort if he had at least tried to remotely show any level of care but I guess it just wasn’t his priority. Just saying… if they’re charging fine dining prices, their food and service should be on par with that.

I recently dined at Verdicchio’s and was seated in the wine room, which offered a very private and intimate setting with a lovely ambiance. Do note, however, that it can be a little chilly, so dressing accordingly is recommended. Our group started with a bottle of red wine and a variety of cocktails, followed by appetizers including the Insalata Stagionata, Caesar salad, charcuterie board, and Carpaccio di Manzo. All were beautifully presented and full of flavor. For mains, we ordered the Gnocchi al Pomodoro, Risotto con Carciofi, Agnello Scottaditto, and Filetto di Manzo. Each dish was delicious and well-prepared, though portion sizes felt on the smaller side given the price point. That said, the plating and presentation were top notch and clearly well thought out. To finish, we shared the panna cotta and Nonna’s Cake both were standout desserts that impressed the table. As always, the service at Verdicchio’s was excellent, attentive without being intrusive. The restaurant itself is spotless with an elegant yet welcoming vibe, making it a great choice for both special occasions and casual fine dining

My boyfriend and I went out to Verdicchio for supper for the first time Saturday night at 6:30pm , we didn’t know reservations were required and they were still so accommodating and charismatic to make our first experience there a great one. The service was great and we really loved each plate! The calamari and salmon were great appetizers and the Truffle Ravioli was AMAZING! As our mains we got the clam shrimp pasta and the veal. Everything was great, even the house wine was delicious and I truly don’t even like wine! The prices are definitely $$$, but it is a luxury restaurant. Enjoying a large glass of red wine was a first for me thank you to the Verdicchio staff for making our experience a great one! The bread, olive oil and balsamic vinegar was so great we are still craving it the next day! I

This evening, my girlfriend surprised me with an evening at Verdicchio for my birthday. It was our first time here, and it will probably be our last, unfortunately. We had a reservation for 7 pm, and we arrived around 6:45 pm It was awesome that they were able to seat us early. Once we sat down, we looked over the delicious-looking menu. Everything seemed so delicious. We ordered the Foccacia con fichi and the insalata di cesare. Along with this, we each ordered the Panccheri al mare. We placed our order at 6:55 pm. We then received bread immediately with these oils and vinegars, which was delicious. Now here’s the issue we had. We didn’t receive our appetizer until 7:30, and our main meal until about 7:55. In the hour-ish that we waited for food, we were approached by our server once, who said that the food was gonna be right out, but we waited and waited. While we sat down, a couple who were sitting next to us arrived about 10 minutes after we did. They got their food and dessert and had their bill before we were served our meal. It was very weird what was happening. All this to say, some communication would have been nice, because I don’t think it’s normal to wait that long for food. The food we received was delicious, but then again, for what we received, it was not worth the wait at all, and the portion was small. All in all, this whole evening, which was supposed to be a celebratory, fun, enjoyable experience, became a really meh...

Verdicchio is a unique restaurant in this city. I get the impression that its regular customers support the business to a degree where new business is not really a concern for them. Located in an industrial park next to mineral labs and industrial supply stores, it stands out as one of the truly original providers of fine dining in Sudbury. I have organized events here for professionals, I have attended dinners for work functions and I have taken prospective clients here. It's not the kind of place I go for a snack but rather where I go if I want to convey an experience. The owner and the staff are all intimately familiar with the ingredients, the process and the experience for which people are attending. I'll tell you right now it's the best gnocchi in town, hands down. I'll also tell you they cook a better steak than The Keg every time. I will also say that sometimes the food is so original that I question whether I made the right choice in deviating for my standard menu selections. That being said it is always an impressive meal at a premium price. Anniversaries, birthdays, weddings, retirement parties. This is...
