Jumbo 3 For 1 Pizza & Crispy Wings — Restaurant in Guelph

I had a terrible experience at Jumbo 3 for 1 Pizza(235 Starwood Drive). First off, my husband was accused of being disrespectful by a lady employee, even though he had done nothing wrong. He was polite the entire time. It all started with him asking about the tax on the bill since it was still the last day (15th February) of GST relief rule. To this their lady employee said that the law is optional for their business and bluntly said “why are you wasting everyone’s time for 2-4 dollars? Take the pizza or leave it!” To make matters worse, they didn’t even provide a receipt after he paid, which is just unprofessional. He had given a 10% tip, hoping to show appreciation, but it clearly didn’t matter to them. I then called the restaurant and demanded to speak to the owner but the lady on phone said, the owner wasn’t available. The situation escalated when the same lady who dealt with my husband passed a very racist remark “You cheap Indians don’t deserve to eat Pizza”. Later she falsely claimed to be the owner of this pizza place which felt like an attempt to cover up their poor behavior. I demanded to know her name so I could lodge an official complaint against her but she abruptly disconnected the call and never picked up again. If she was really the owner, why was she so scared to tell her name and how come she was refusing to give a receipt? These guys are definitely looting people by charging extra on the bills and to leave no proof, they are not giving any official receipts.

I would still very much like to speak to the owner(the real owner) and discuss the entire matter in person.

This was a deeply upsetting experience, and I’ll never be coming back. I would advise others to stay far away...

Good pizza for the price, service there in general is okay at best. This experience ruined it for me. Went there for the last 6 months since moving local , 2-3 times a week. Always had reasonable quality pizza at a reason price. Had a run in with an employee who decided she owned the joint after intentionally stalling a late night pizza by an additional pizza by 20 minutes. 11:30 on a Thursday… I managed to order from another place and get a call it was ready before they had mine ready, (1 other customer in the store)was after a 15 minute delay before arriving at location. Got told she was calling the cops when I said I was leaving to pick up the other pizza and an onslaught of insults thrown my way before leaving. I told her I will never be back if she’s still there and will be visiting the manager tomorrow. Will update...

Ordered pizza, order took almost an hour to arrive from when it left (my house is 15 minutes max away), driver ran away immediately, pizza boxes were dented, undercooked, and cold, order was missing drinks. Calmly called to get a new order and was immediately yelled at, sworn at, and called ‘thieves’. After a long argument over the phone agreed to a refund, so drove to the place to receive it, then was verbally harassed by 3 employees and went into another long argument all over a simple refund for their terrible service. Shocked that this place is even still operating, reporting this to head office and looking at pursuing them in court.
