Tito's Pizza — Restaurant in Guelph

Pizza is good, service is poor. I was dissatisfied by the customer service today. My fiancé and I purchased the pick-up special deal in November which sounded great (one free medium pizza a month...apparently). There have been a few strings attached over the last few months but the pizza has been good and the customer service acceptable and sometimes pleasant. Today they sucked.

Upon requesting a gluten free crust (due to a newly developed wheat allergy) they informed me that a gluten free crust is $17, even with the free pizza deal. There is nothing in the rules of the special that excludes gluten free. When I politely asked about how that fits into the pick up special, the woman said it 'wasn't her problem' and to deal with the advertising company. When I asked when it was a good time to call back and speak to the owner she said, 'I don't know.' She offered no help or advice other than telling me that I wasted my money on the deal.

It was a Tuesday night. I needed a few drinks to wash away Monday (don't judge....I know you've been there too). So anyway after about 6 delicious beers I decided I needed something else to wash away weekend guilt. A bright idea came to me.... panzerotti. A delicious piece of heaven and indulgence wrapped up in a golden crust. The few thousand calories were a Wednesday problem. I quickly ordered the panzerotti with an additional indulgence of chicken wings. Then I sat and waited, all the while dreaming of the gluttony that was about to ensure. 45 painstaking minutes later my dream came true. I quickly paid the delivery driver and quickly went to my basement to hide from my judgemental husband and indulge. Within 2 minutes all my hopes and dreams were shattered. I almost gave up on life. Inside the pizza box was not the panzerotti I had dreamed of but instead a burnt piece of dough with stuffing inside. I almost had a hope when I remembered the other box containing chicken wings....until I also opened it to discover they were also burnt.

Tito's is phenomenal. The value for price is unmistakeable. The food is all delicious and fresh, and they staff are so friendly and understanding, be it on the phone, or in person. We ordered late one evening, fell asleep and did not answer the door when the delivery arrived. I called Tito's back and asked them to send the driver back to us. I also apologized profusely. The driver arrived and I explained our reason for falling asleep; she was very understanding and not once made us feel guilty for our faux pas. Tito's once again managed to deliver a perfect customer service experience, despite our narcoleptic blunder. Tito's is staffed by truly exceptional people, and every product they offer is worth its price. Please continue to be amazing. I'll continue to recommend Tito's to everyone is Southern Ontario.
