Sharon's Drive-In — Restaurant in Harbour Grace

I'm not hard to please with fried foods, so take this to heart. Food was flavorless unless you think of grease as a flavor. I ordered a 2pc fish and chips, a small side of gravy, and an order of onion rings. I'll start with fish and chips. Two rather small pieces of fish fried in a pancake style batter (I've gotten cod bites as big at other places) were served to me atop a small plate of fries and wrapped in a plastic bag (Why?) before putting in the paper take out bag. This order of fish and chips, besides being a very small portion compared to similar places, was clearly not drained after it was removed from the oil as it was draining all over the fries that it was placed on. Both fries and fish were grease soaked. The fries were even full of little burnt pieces. Seems they scouped all the little burnt pieces from their fryer into the greasy fries they served me. Gravy was very nasty. It looked like they had been serving from the same batch for weeks and kept watering it down, heating it up in the microwave and serving it to customers. Lastly, I will address the onion rings. They were served to me in a small fry plate, completely grease soaked, and some were partially burnt. I removed them from the grease soaked tray and put them in one of the paper bags my food was given to me in to try and soak up more of the grease. Not surprisingly, they even had enough grease left in them to soak through the bag. Anything that could be wrong with an order like this was. I can only assume either the workers or owners just don't care anymore and repeat bussines is not important to them. I won't be back. Sad.... 😔 as I have read through and saw some good reviews from the past. Eat here at your own...

Ordered fries, onion rings and a milkshake. The smell in this restaurant was so bad I had to wait outside. I really blame myself. I don't know why I even ordered food from a place that stunk so bad. Not one item was edible we got home and threw it all in the trash. It took nearly 20 minutes to get that mess... ugh. I can't really describe it... it wasn't fishy... just rotting greasy i don't know what ?...

Food was disgusting. Chicken tenders were not the "real" chicken you expect from a grease shack like this, they were the kind that you buy in a big box at the grocery store precooked. Hardly any gravy on the fries, batter was way too greasy on the chicken breasts. I couldn't even eat what I ordered, and paid $40 for our two meals. Will...
