We recently had the pleasure of dining at Sun Run Cafe and Bakery, and it was an experience worth sharing! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming ambiance that set the tone for a delightful meal.
We started with the California Chicken Sandwich, which was a true delight. The chicken was perfectly grilled, tender, and juicy, with a subtle seasoning that enhanced its natural flavor. Topped with fresh, crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and a creamy avocado spread, each bite was rich and satisfying. The lightly toasted bread added a satisfying crunch that complemented the smoothness of the avocado.
Next, we tried the Buffalo Pulled Pork, which was a standout dish. The pulled pork was incredibly succulent and packed with flavor, generously coated in a tangy buffalo sauce that had just the right amount of heat. The balance of spice and sweetness made it an irresistible option for anyone who enjoys bold, savory flavors. Each mouthful was a burst of deliciousness, leaving us eager for more.
The Falafel Burger was another pleasant surprise. The falafel itself was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a blend of spices that made it truly flavorful. It was paired with fresh veggies and a tasty tahini sauce, making for a hearty and satisfying vegetarian option. Even as non-vegetarians, we found it to be an excellent choice.
The Grilled Cheese was comfort food at its finest. The bread was toasted to perfection, with gooey, melted cheese oozing from every bite. Simple yet incredibly satisfying, it’s a dish that proves sometimes, less is more.
To top it all off, we indulged in several bakery items that did not disappoint. The pastries were fresh, flaky, and full of flavor, offering the perfect sweet ending to our meal.
What made the experience even more enjoyable was the outdoor seating. We sat outside in the lovely weather, which added to the relaxing and cozy atmosphere. The outdoor area was comfortable and inviting, making it the perfect spot to unwind and savor our meal.
Overall, our visit to Sun Run Cafe and Bakery was fantastic. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was charming, and the service...
Read moreI was there when Parastoo’s family arrived and ordered this morning around 10AM. They were in the car in front of mine when I arrived (I was in the gold Equinox), and I watched them outside the cafe mask up themselves and their kids before entering, and was present inside when they ordered. I have to agree that the food is amazing, but I think they were looking for racism where none existed. I wanted to offer an alternative perspective to their negative review and comment.
People may have been noticing they were the only ones wearing masks, not the race of the two adults and their two children.
They may have been looking at your beautiful family, not staring in judgment about your race. Clearly, they have experienced this before, and may be more sensitive to it than others, but objectively, that was not what happened this morning.
There is limited seating inside but there are tables outside they could have used as well, if they felt uncomfortable or took their order to-go.
They were clearly passing through the area on their way somewhere else, and who knows what they experienced earlier today or this week. We all have bad days and sometimes see things that aren’t happening in reality.
I hope they would consider coming back, and if they continue to feel uncomfortable, perhaps they can take their order to go.
Their review in no way reflects the community of Maynooth nor the Sun Run...
Read moreWe stumbled upon this quaint little cafe while roaming in maynooth. It was A delightful surprise. Never expected the food to be this delicious. Service was excellent. They make EVERYTHING from scratch which is evident in the taste. Extremely reasonable price. I guess their menu changes seasonally but when I visited they served roasted butternut squash soup. I swear that I have never tasted such delicious soup!! It was out of this world. Not too sweet not too spicy a perfect blend of all. I also tried their coleslaw and burger which were equally delicious. The chef was too kind, we forgot to mention coleslaw in our order but did not realise it, so when we went and checked, he offered to make it for free even though it was our mistake. Such a peaceful and positive place. Please please do yourself a favour and go grab a bite here. I cant wait to...
