Since then, A&W has continued to grow, expanding into over 950 locations from Vancouver Island to Newfoundland. While our commitment to having the best-tasting food hasn't changed, our restaurants are dramatically different than they were in the drive-in days. As our customers' needs for convenience and faster service grew, our restaurants changed to meet those needs. The drive-ins of the '60s have been replaced by contemporary free-standing restaurants with drive-thru service. We've also expanded into new, more convenient spaces. In shopping centres, airports, and highway gas/convenience locations, A&W is more accessible than ever. So is our famous A&W Root Beer®. A&W remains Canada's No. 1 brand of root beer and is available not just in our restaurants, but also in cans and bottles at your local grocery store.

Me and my gf love A&W food but this establishment does not provide good service. They are careless each time I show up, no greetings just shove the machine in your face to pay and pass the food over. That aside, I normally do not eat until around 9. Online this establishment is open until 10 which is wrong, their door says they close at 9…. Also wrong. I have shown up 4 separate times between 8:50-8:57 and they have had their lights off and drive thru closed. The first time I was 8:55 and someone at least came to the window to tell me they weren’t serving food at that time. I was unhappy but figured it was a 1 time thing. The last 3 times the employees hide in the back and they act closed. Only knew they were inside this time because someone came out back with the garbage while I was looking at store hours. I was half done typing this before they left. I won’t be back...

Extremely poor attitude and health risk provided by server: Saturday March 30 @13:45 My wife and I ordered burgers and drinks. The counter server pulled the cups from the dispenser and then proceeded to place her index finger completely in my cup and gripped the edge with her thumb, immediately I requested a new cup and advised her the finger should not be inside the cup, almost begrudgingly she gave me a new cup, however the first cup she proceeded to place back in the cup dispenser??? Again I advised her on behalf of her next victim that cup should be discarded. I have also advised A&W under separate cover of this employees ignorance and general il demeanour exhibited while we were present in this restaurant.
