We are here for lunch today as we were in the area exploring the Musquodoboit Railway Trail. The service was good, our waitress was really friendly. The restaurant was clean, and it had a home corner pub meet up with friends feel. I had checked out the menu in advance online to make sure I would have options other than just sides or a salad being vegetarian, and was excited to see Beyond Chicken Tenders on offer in 2 menu items. We ordered appetizers, both of which were really good; hubby got the mozza sticks & I got the fried dill pickles. The pickles were delicious & the portion was definitely made to be shared. Hubby then ordered the fish & chips which he said was excellent. The fish pieces were large, and the batter was light & crispy. I ordered the chicken tenders & fries, and asked for the vegan tenders. I noticed when ordering that the physical menu made no mention of Beyond Meat at all, only vegan tenders. Based on the online menu I was expecting Beyond tenders, which have a similar appearance to a regular chicken tender. What came out on my plate were 5 very sad looking tenders, definitely not Beyond Meat as they do not use oats in their breading mix, and these had large oats in the breading on them. While it's nice to have options for vegans, or others who don't like eating meat, it would be nice if the option on offer was the same as listed on the online menu; and if that item isn't available anymore or has been substituted with another option it would be nice to know. I would have absolutely ordered something else instead if...

NEVER AGAIN. Saturday September 17 7 of us ladies on a very special event night out walked in at the tail end of a commotion at the back of the bar. Come to find out it was between the owner and the Karioki host. One of the waitresses didn't know if she should call the police or not. (I wonder if they have camera footage of that incident) We sat down and ordered our food and drinks. 15-20 minutes later I seen the drinks at the bar and helped to bring them over. My sister was waiting on water for her and our DD. She went to the bar and asked for glasses of water. The owner preceded in a confrontational manner to tell her to go back and sit down and wait for her waitress. She asked again and he took the pitcher of water and poured it aggressively spilling it over the floor and counter. She was upset and said she was leaving. He overheard her and yelled, so your just gonna leave without paying. I have never seen such disrespect from management to a patron in all my life. When we got our food he came to the table and said, for your inconvenience the meal is on the house. Still no APOLOGY. Needless to say she had lost her appetite and was truly hurt. The food was good and the staff were great but as far as being baraded by the owner no less, that is not exceptable. Sorry to say it was a very bad...

Worst experience of my life! Will never go there and I will never recommend this place to anyone! We went to have a family dinner and 2 meals were cold. We told the staff and the owner came to our table, was very confrontational and told us we were liars and he was making us pay. I spoke up and told him in all my life I have never been so disrespected by a restaurant/owner in front of my 2 little girls. Once I spoke up he then proceeded to tell us to leave. Our meals were not even half touched and my children did not even get to finish their supper! It was the most awful thing for my children to witness! Now that we spoke out about our experience staff are stating that we were rude and disrespectful which is completely untrue, they are threatening us with video surveillance which will show the owner being very confrontational towards us, as we have our 2 little girls with us trying to enjoy our meal. All we did was state 2 meals were cold. I am glad to hear you are using the video as teaching tool as you do need to learn from it. We were willing to pay for our meals weather they were liked/ disliked or cold, but were told to leave. We all know the truth in this situation and yes very...

Nice and clean eatery with a pub atmosphere. Ordered the seafood linguine and it was one of the best seafood/pasta dishes I've ever had. Lots of fresh seafood with a fresh piece of garlic bread accompanying it. This dish was easily one of my top three seafood experiences ever. Old No. 7 has taken this dish to the next level and the service was very personable and refreshing. Kudos to Melissa for her mixed humour and professionalism approach to her customers. Highly recommended!!

Best wings around! Service is always extroidinary! Sticky Toffee Pudding is to die for! Atmosphere is pub style and can be a little louder with chatting and depending on the time of day and crowd. Seating is arranged nicely. Small stage area. Over table lighting is quite bright, and eye level if you are shorter. Keep in mind when choosing where to sit if you are sensitive to lighting. Awesome place, highly recommend.

The Derby steak was great. I appreciate the steak being cooked as ordered. Waitress was very polite. Veggies were crisp, portion size was good. Not often I'm out this way, but this was a wise choice to stop. If you do not order the mushrooms and onions with the derby steak, you are an unguided hedon.
