What a lunatic! Hubby and I stopped in for burgers while passing by. I ordered the premium burger, which comes with bacon, avocado, and roasted red peppers, as per the menu. I asked for no red peppers as I have food allergies. When I got my burger, I got a side of store-bought guacamole. I explained that due to food allergies, I needed to see the label to determine if I could eat it. The owner got it for me and I quickly explained that I wouldn't be able to eat it, making my burger now a 'bacon burger' which is $2.50 cheaper. He offered to give me one dollar. I asked why one dollar instead of 2.50 +HST. He then counted out two dollars, telling me that since I got two pieces of bacon, it was one slice more than the 'bacon burger'; I was satisfied with that explanation, but buddy had already started spinning out of control. This is the point where he came completely undone and lost it. He told me that he didn't like the look on my face, that he didn't need my business, that he would never serve me again, and that I was penny pinching. I couldn't get a word in edgewise. I asked if we were such penny pinchers, why did my husband and I just put more than 5 dollars in the tip jar before even being served the food and never dining there before? He refused to listen, was completely irate, and stormed out to my husband sitting at the table to inform him that we were not welcome back. I followed him to the table, to explain to Hubby what had just transpired. He then told us that he was the owner, that it is his business, that we are now trespassing, and needed to vacate his property. He continued to yell at us, threatening to call the cops since we were trespassing, all while we attempted to eat our food. After we ate, hubby went in to try to defuse the situation where he then learned that this guy is indeed crazy! The owner continued to argue, this time at my husband. Good luck, Little Man, we wish you nothing but success in your business venture. The burgers were great, but you should probably stay in the kitchen and hire customer-facing professionals, since clearly you are not.
I wasn't going to write a review, because people have bad days and as self-employed individuals ourselves, I know how detrimental negative reviews can be for independent businesses, especially in today's economy...... BUT when Hubby was inside at the end, trying to have a civil conversation, the owner said he couldn't wait for us to write a review online because he wanted to argue...

What truly sets this place apart is the exceptional service. The staff is not only attentive but also incredibly friendly, making you feel right at home. And the best part? The prices are very affordable, making it an excellent choice for families and anyone looking for great food without breaking the bank.
