What was once a lovely gem is now under new ownership and disappointing at best. An hour wait for 3 subs that were the worst I have ever had. The taste of raw onion will possibly never leave my mouth considering that was a third of the content. The biggest disappointment was the reaction of the owner to my letting her know that subs were inconsistent, lacking more that a toke shred of lettuce, overwhelmed by onion, had burnt crumbles of bacon, and what was supposed to be toasted was more like stale. She was well the boy int he kitchen was training so that would be right. Both my husband and I have worked in professional kitchens varying from diners to upscale and the one thing that any successful restauranteur knows is you are only as good as your last meal. Nothing should leave the pass that is not to standard and if that was standard then I won't be back. Some days things slip by and you do not make vague excuses you give the person a reason to come back and let you try again. It is a shame we have lost a lovely little diner with great simple food and wonderful friendly service and got a pretentious sham...

We were fortunate enough to have discovered this wonderful eatery when they first opened in Hubbards and can say in complete honesty, that this area feels lucky and grateful to have them in our Community. While not fancy, when you walk through the doors of the Savary Plate, you get an immediate sense that you are about to be treated like Family and you are right, which brings up the reason for this review.

I recently planned a large surprise 65th Birthday party for my wife and another close friend and decided that having the event catered would be a special touch. Asking Alisha and April, proprietors of the Savary Plate if they could help was wisest decision I have ever made.

I received their professional expertise throughout the entire planning process, thoughtful attention to every detail and "over the top" dedication to only providing dishes that are creative, fresh and can truly be described as "Wow"! My guests cannot stop talking about the extraordinary array of delicious foods presented by the Team at the Savary Plate!

For catering done right, call these Folks. You'll be glad you...

I would rate this eating experience as a -1- out of -100- We ordered several pizzas to be picked up as a treat for our lunch at work. The pizzas we received were the worst pizzas I have ever encountered. Pictures were taken as proof of the inferior quality. We ordered several styles and everyone was overcooked and lacked an acceptable amount of the requested toppings. BEWARE The GLUTEN FREE pizza WAS COMPROMISED. I HAVE CELIAC DISEASE AND I AM NOW SICK. I am extremely careful with my diet. It will be weeks of suffering before my body recovers. I have tried without success to have a private conversation with management to address this issue. My messages have advised them this is an issue with a gluten free pizza. That should have been enough of a red flag for management to understand this is a serious issue. A one or two minute conversation is all the time they would have needed to address this matter. Conversation time has expired. I will do my best to try and protect others from...

Let me make this as clear as I can. GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!! We arrived here from the advertisement that they were a part of Lobster Crawl. But we were told that it was promoted incorrectly and their sister restaurant was the one who was serving them. BUT, I am assuming it was one of the owners, said she would run and get 2 for us as long as we were willing to wait for a few minutes. While she was gone another waitress served us drinks and some sweet potato fries (also excellent). Just a few minutes later we were served 2 loaded lobster rolls she had made herself from the recipe and the ingredients. It was so light and flavourful (goddess dressing with tons of fresh herbs on a toasted roll). So delicious! What really nailed this experience was we thought she had run just next door. NOPE, the sister restaurant and recipe was about 300 yards down the road! She went and got this for us because we wanted a lobster roll. NOW THAT IS SERVICE!!! I will be back for sure!!!

We were unsure what to expect from the mostly positive but somewhat mixed reviews. We were very pleasantly surprised! The service was attentive and friendly (Barbara was enjoyable and friendly), food was flavourful and good quantities, coffee was standard but bottomless, and prices seemed on par with similar food establishments these days. We ordered the haddock eggs Benedict ($16 very tasty, nice sized portion, perfect poached eggs), the breakfast pizza ($16 again, nice sized serving and good for the meat lovers), and a breakfast poutine with a poached egg on top ($15 the veggies were delicious!). All around, very pleased and we'll be back to try other menu items. Grabbed a giant cookie for our ride home and ended up spending just under $70 for 3 people with taxes and tip included.

I give out wayyyy too many 5 stars on here but my oh my, just can't help myself when the flavors were this good! Had the breakfast pizza and a piping hot coffee here this morning and wow... Between the garlic spread, individual tastiness of the ham/sausage/bacon and fluffiness yet crispiness of the pizza dough, well, 5 stars, all the stars. Was tempted to throw in one of their delicious looking 1/2 LB CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES, (my eyes tend to be bigger than my stomach...), but I was honestly way too stuffed. Great spot, cozy, friendly staff and nicely located right off the highway you will leave feeling full and planning the next time you'll be back!
