My sister booked a table for 2 for our mother’s birthday brunch. 24hrs before she tried to add me to the reservation but no table of 3 was avail but there was a table of 4 avail for the same time. She was unable to cancel her reservation and upgrade to 4 guests as she would have been charged $25 a head for the cancellation. Myself and my boyfriend booked a table for 2 for the same time. My sister arrived and asked if we could have a table for 4 or just be seated close together, her waitress checked with kitchen management who said it could not be done because of reservations to come after us. I arrived and had asked to sit close to my sisters table as there was 2 tables for 2 next to them, our waitress asked kitchen management and it could not be done. Myself and my boyfriend were sat at the other end of the restaurant to my sister and mother. A group of 2 arrived during our visit and took 1 of the empty tables close to my sister, while the other table was empty during our entire visit. Our waitress was nice but seemed annoyed at our request and confusion that we could not be sat in the empty table next to my sister. The waitress who brought my sisters bill was explained the situation and was appalled as there was an empty table next to them and it would not be used for a party larger than 2 during our reservation or in the next hour or so after. Food was delicious but poor management and communication...
Read moreFork Restaurant is an absolute gem. From the moment we arrived, the service was prompt and friendly—everyone made us feel welcome without being overbearing. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance: modern yet cozy, and full of vibrant energy that adds to the experience without ever feeling too loud or crowded.
But let’s be real—the star of the show here is the food. It’s hands down the best restaurant breakfast I’ve ever had in Newfoundland. The quality is just unmatched. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and thoughtfully prepared. You can really tell they care about what they’re serving.
I went with The Basic Breakfast, and at only $20, it’s an unbelievable value. The pork sausage was absolutely unreal—fresh, salty, fatty in the best way, and bursting with flavor. The toutons were cooked to perfection, the hash browns were exactly what hash browns should be, crispy and golden on the outside, soft inside. And the eggs? Knowing they come from the very chickens wandering around outside the restaurant just adds a beautiful, local touch that sets Fork apart even more.
I can’t recommend this place enough. Well done, guys. You've set a...
Read moreMy husband and I had a fabulously delicious dinner at Fork. The restaurant was recommended by my husband’s coworkers and it was the best recommendation!!! From the greeting at the door, our waitress Emily and OMG the food, this will be a meal to remember. Nan’s bread with the molasses’s butter was amazing, we had to order another little loaf to have that butter. Who would have thought Molasses’s butter was a thing. My husband had the mussels in a Tom Yum broth and I had their local oysters as starters. Then for entrees my husband had their top sirloin with peppercorn sauce and a huge mound of frites. I had NL oven roasted cod in a umami broth with mushrooms, broccolini and bok choy. The cod was so flaky buttery that it had to be eaten with a spoon. Best cod I’ve ever had. Then dessert we shared cinnamon fritters that sat on a ricotta spread topped with chocolate and caramel sauce. This place is a gem and deserve a Michelin Star. The husband and wife chefs know great food. Wished we lived in NL to...
