Stop here if you can! Do yourself a favor and just stop here and order some food and drinks you won't be disappointed!!

We stopped here needing a quick snack and a coffee break in the middle of our day of exploring the coastline beaches around the area. It was convenient having plenty of parking spots amongst the other tourists, locals, and motorcycles. Not thinking anything of this quiet little roadside shack café, we stopped to get a muffin and coffee or something. We ended up trying a chicken curry turnover, chicken and brie pastry, as well as a really smooth mocha. We were blown away with the quality and inexpensive cost for such impressive eats. We were so impressed we went back for a second order. At only $4.50 for one of their savoury pastries you can't go wrong ordering anything they offer.

This spot made for a great little break in all our hiking and exploring. Just stop and have a rest here to judge...

despite the cold allegations (the name by which everyone calls this enterprise), i’ve never felt warmer. from the tips of my fingers to the tip of my small boyish pointy nose. firstly i’ll compliment the service.the warmth of the sun that burnt you in april shone through in our brief yet profound moments shared betwixt. moving on. the warmth of my comrades in customership - i wish you nothing but the best on your grounding journeys on this crazy road we call life. be sure to wear sunscreen SPF 50 or more. now, a moment for our 80 year old birthday girl, paulette, you enchanted me and showed me what it is to be truly seen despite the fact that i’m made of wood and string. never hesitate to take those puppies and let them howl (your feet out of your boots). amen and god bless - Pinocc hio xoxo p.s. you really showed this italian “boy” that...

I've now been here three times and my experiences have varied.

I'll start with the good. They make a great cup of coffee. If that's all you're after, this is a great stop.

The atmosphere is really cool and the location can't be beat. Right on the highway and across from the ocean.

Unfortunately, my experience has not all been positive.

The mocha I ordered from Cold Shoulder was obnoxiously sweet. Almost undrinkable. I had a spanakopita, which came still quite cold on the inside despite having been heated. I brought it back and they reheated it with a touch of attitude. It was still only lukewarm but I just ate it and went on my way.

This place also doesn't have a bathroom, which really sucks when you've just been on the road for an hour and stop for a snack. It seems to be something that they're proud of rather than something they're...

The smell of their baked goods had my stomach rumbling while we were picking some wild blackberries so I just knew we had to try. 20/10 recommend visiting this place if you’re driving through or camping in the area. Very simple menu but the pastry selection is vast and everything looks delectable. The morning glory muffin would make an awesome trail or summit snack. That Brie mushroom tart was also something else. The bacon cheese puff, curry chicken pastry, and spanakopita also caught my eye but the herbaceous and savoury mushroom tart was wooooowie. Coffee was great, service very warm and friendly, and the atmosphere is awesome. After finishing our treats we walked down to the beach and soaked up the sun. Cold shoulder cafe is a must visit spot on the Jordan river trail.

Love this coast and especially after visiting the beach there is this cafe waiting for you across the street. The staff were friendly, menu is clear and straight forward, and the pastry display case looked great. We had the chickpea curry soup, the flatbread with Brie and tomato, sausage roll and an apple turnover. It was all perfect but the glaze on the apple turnover was a bit overpowering, I’m guessing almond extract? Whatever it was I did like the flavour but there was a little bit too much for me, the pastry was still really good and the filling was rustic with the peel left on the apples.
