Incredible little food truck run by really friendly folks. We were pleased to find this gem as we made our way to east sooke park. We tried the vegan tofu sushi sando and the tofu sub. The sushi sandwich has the most delicious teriyaki sauce inside and the sandwich was happily devoured by my toddler. The sub was really tasty, bread was gently toasted and the filling was simple but fresh. My husband was so pleased to have his beer poured in a cold glass, the little things. The owners are friendly and quick to serve you beautiful food and clean up your plate. We felt very welcomed and cared for. The little eating spot was a bit strange, I would suggest having the music play there instead of the front of the truck.. it would create a fun atmosphere instantly. Also, serve your soy sauce in tiny pouring glass vessels instead of individual plastic sachets, makes a huge mess and it’s just not fun to interact with. Last thing, please please consider stopping at (any) store and getting some plant based milk and ice cream so folks who don’t want to drink cow milk can still try the coffee and matcha. Silk makes incredible plant based milk and So Delicious vanilla is perfect for the matcha affogato. Thanks for offering delicious plant based food, we will be back to try the...
Read moreWe found the best eats in Sooke!! Honestly wasn’t expecting too much from our visit as we were just prepared for beautiful hikes, but we saw this place had 5 Stars so we stopped by on the way back and I’m so glad we did.
We got two Wiggley Jiggley bowls and everything was SO GOOD.
The braised pork belly was buttery smooth and had great flavour.
Egg, the most perfectly done jammy egg I’ve ever seen. I didn’t even know eggs could be that texture. Not like your regular jammy egg which is still a bit liquid in the middle, but perfectly soft and creamy all the way through.
Flavour, didn’t feel like it needed anything else. Was just nice as it was and easy to get a perfect bite every time.
Sizeable portions— was satisfying after a few hours of hiking. I almost couldn’t finish my bowl which was nice because it meant I was full the whole day.
Highly recommend this hidden gem!
Note that you want the sea foam green truck with the pale pink door. They don’t really have a clear sign with their truck name. Just make sure you’re not going to the...
Read moreThe food is consistently amazing. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. The food truck is pure comfort and popping by feels like you’re visiting good friends. Japa-Mac is god tier. The Buddha bowl is delicious and so are the chicken katsu skewers and mango salad.
Where Hide N Seek really shines is in their events! Chef moto is a culinary genius. His passion and skills are on full display during these events. We had them cater a lunch for our wedding and the quality and presentation were exceptional. Our family still brings up the food. We’ve been to several of the special events hosted at Mile Zero Brewing and I highly recommend them. Chef Moto’s creativity and attention to detail are...
