Chuck's Roadhouse Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Kapuskasing

Called to make a reservation, 4 days ahead, was told I don’t need one because it’s a slow night. Get there the day of and it was nothing but confusion and disorganization. Gave us 3 tiny tables for 13 ppl. We took it upon ourselves to take an additional table so we weren’t sitting on top of each other. And we got some nasty looks. If proper accommodations were provided, this wouldn’t have happened. Another group of ppl, maybe 8 got more tables than we did, which makes absolutely zero sense. Our server was timid and didn’t speak very loudly, had to get their attention multiple times. Food took over an hour to reach the table, had to ask for additional plates, utensils, napkins. All the other tables were offered pitchers of water and we never got that option. Very limited lighting, was brighter outside on a cloudy day. Food wasn’t great and the staff really needs to get their crap together. We’ve ordered take out from Chucks before and it was great, we thought having our celebration here would be a good fit. We were there on the weekend as my son had a hockey tournament, my husband was served rotten lobster while we there and another players parent was ill for 2 days after. When I spoke to the manager about them serving spoiled food he told me he wouldn't adjust the bill because the franchise doesn't allow this, I know this isn't true so I called him out and he told me I was right but there was a bunch of paper work etc involved. So essentially laziness on his part rather then trying to make the situation better. The rancid smell coming from my husband's food was just awful but this should have never left the kitchen let alone be cooked, then to have other foods cooked on the same surface is not ok. Cross contamination is basic food handlers. No fault of the server she was amazing but as a manager very poor attitude towards this and his costumers. I will never return to...

Had a disappointing lunch today at Chuck’s. Very slow service, waited super long for nachos and a burger, and waited even longer to finally get our bill. Definitely do not order the nachos as you will not be satisfied or get your moneys worth. Ordered the nachos which were $15.99 for them to come out burnt, lacking toppings and overall overpriced for a bunch of Tostito chips. Spoke with the server about this who then brought over the owner, he then proceeded to list the ingredients including the ounce used per ingredient and was quite rude throughout the entire interaction. He refused to acknowledge the food being burnt and that it was lacking toppings.
