My wife, daughter, and I visited here September 5th 2021. I ordered the veggie burger and garden salad, my wife got a quesadilla, and my daughter got the kids menu pizza and cesar salad. We could not eat inside. Not for COVID-related reasons, but because the tables in the restaurant were all reserved, so we opted for takeout instead.

The veggie burger patty was black bean based. I love black bean burgers as generally speaking they have a nice strong spicy flavour. This black bean burger managed to be quite flavorless. The sauce that they put on the burger, presumably to add flavour, was miniscule. It was such a small amount that I had to search for it to make sure they didn't forget to put it on. Due to all of this such the burger as a whole had little flavour to such an extent that I was surprised.

My wife's quesadilla was soggy and falling apart, and the usual condiments for quesadillas (salsa, sour cream) were not provided. The quesadilla was cut into rectangles strips rather than the usual triangle shape that one would expect, which when combined with the soggy nature of the quesadilla made it impossible to keep the ingredients inside of the tortilla, so my wife's experience was essentially a taco salad with soggy tortillas, and no sauce.

My daughter didn't have any complaints about her pizza and cesar salad, but she's two years old so it's tough to get a good sense of what her experience was like.

Generally speaking, our experience with the food was bad, but I am willing to admit that perhaps we didn't order things on the menu that the restaurant was "good at making". In other words, someone might not want to eat here if it's to eat the particular things that my family and I ate, but perhaps other items on their menu are...

It was the slowest service I have ever seen in my life. My experience was not pleasant at all. As a Food and beverage person, I can say loudly, don’t go there and expect to be happy. We followed all the protocols and we were treated badly. Here is the story; We called and reserve a table for 2 at 6 pm. We arrived at the restaurant at 5:50. We were told to wait till they arrange a table. After 15 minutes waiting for that table, I asked for the the owner / the boss to talk to. She told me “I don’t know what we can do, as you see the restaurant is full”. Then why do you have the reservation system, I wondered. She said we are the only restaurant in town who takes reservation. Clearly don’t know how to manage it! I preferred you don’t take reservation and I take my chances. Finally after 20 minutes waiting and arguing she found us a table. my waiter came to the table after we were setting for 10 minutes. At that time, We knew what we want to order, we ordered an appetizer to share and 2 main courses. The appetizer took 35 minutes to arrive to our table and the main course arrived 35 minutes after the appetizer. No eyes on the table- no water served No clearing the appetizer No offering an other drink - we had to ask the wait staff for every thing; water, another drink, and 3 times for a hot sauce. The table beside us- had to return their wine glass 2 times because it was very dirty. A women beside our table complained to the wait staff that a table were not cleaned at all before they sat another couple at it. It’s gross and discussing she said.

But the positive thing is my wings were cooked perfectly but the kitchen need to go through order time Managment if this restaurant...

We were so excited to be able to go back to the Log Cabin Tavern. Understood that we would be eating in the screen patio. As that is what they told us when my husband made the reservations Instead, we were seated outside. It wasn't too bad, had some mosquito action. We sat down, server told us we would get our cutlery. Which was ok. Another server came by, took our drink order. Pretty simple, waters for the 3 of us. Came by quick enough, took our order, which was a small salad, and 2 orders of wings and 3 other appys. Were told again that we would get napkins and cutlery etc. Our 2 orders of wings came out and the mushrooms. This time we asked for cutlery and napkins and plates. Waited for 5 minutes and got nothing. Others around us were getting their food and drinks and cutlery. We started eating before this food got cold. We threw the bones on the table, finished everything. Waitress came by and said sorry, I put a rush on your other food. What? Why bother at this point. It all should have come out at once. Still didn't get cutlery or napkins.....at that point we just told her to charge us for the food we ate and forget the rest. Will not be back. It has always been hit and miss there for us and that's it. We will not be back. We are done. If I could give this a negative star, I would. So...

Great spot for tourists and locals alike. Food was delicious. Good portion sizes and the wait staff was very friendly. Very accommodating for person's with disabilities. I was able to book a reservation in advance and I would highly recommend this as it was busy when we got there. Pricing was fair as the food was top-notch and the drink selection was excellent. Despite there being two massive birthday party groups in the room, the noise level was not bad. The high ceilings were very helpful in the noise distribution. There was also an option to sit on the patio (patio heaters available too for the cooler days). I would highly this place. Thanks for the great experience!

I came here on a fine Wednesday evening with my little niece. To start off, the service was excellent; the waiter was nice and friendly, and the atmosphere was awesome. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with a poutine, and my niece ordered a small pizza from the kids' menu. The burger was really good, probably the best in Kenora. On the other hand, the pizza was atrocious—undercooked and very soggy. I'm surprised my niece didn't get sick afterward. Here's a note for you guys: cook it a bit longer. But all in all, everything else was exceptional. I would recommend it if you're looking for a bite to eat.

Reasonable rates, nice atmosphere, and good service. Tried the blooming onion, spinach and feta flatbread and chicken quessadilla. Blooming onion- Nice seasoning and dip. A bit too oily. Spinach and feta flatbread- The flavour and toppings were good. But mine was a bit burnt and chewy. Chicken quessadilla- Good. Nothing outstanding. Could use more chicken. Options for vegetarians/ vegans are available. Good variety of delicious cheesecakes to choose from. We tried the cinnamon bun cheesecake. Parking available. Would go back for more.
