š®š¹ Many a times had the writer driven by this mysterious shoppe wondering about its undiscovered bounty. The first occasion was akin to stepping into heaven's gates as being a tourist whilst less than a one (1) hour's drive from my abode was seemingly unimaginable.
Therein contained a treasure trove of collector items. The numerous, selected, unique paraphernalia were either spoken for or not for sale whatsoever. That ideation is surreal and bothersome.
Guiseppina, Josie for brevity is a diminutive woman, was in charge on that particular idyllic late summer's afternoon of the year 2020 of the pandemic, more particularly referenced as COVID-19.
Some items were purchased totalling approximately one hundred dollars ($100.00). As she did state her preference for the payment of the inconsequential selections was that the payment be in š¦cash funds and further adamantly and self-assured let it be known in no uncertain terms that without issuing the necessary receipt and furthermore, she did let the writer know that then, she would NOT charge the applicable Harmonized Sales Tax (H.S.T.) of thirteen percent (13%). At the time of parting, Josie assuredly, proudly and loudly pronounced, "You did good."
Being of sane mind, no third (3rd) shopping trip ought to occur as no astute business person should be thusly thrice humiliated.
The so-called treasure trove of two (2) or more remaining items are ready for the garbage heap least the recipient(s) be seriously insulted.
What a colossal waste of precious time and hard earned...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreQuaint and delightful! It's a small restaurant, inside a style of century home. A mix of European country! Excellent food (we had lunch and should have bought other dishes, to take home for dinner - next time!). There are different dishes, every day; so, it's a nice surprise, when you arrive, to go to the counter, to discover what dishes are on offer, that day. They also offer custom-made sandwiches daily and will accommodate any request, to your meal (size, combinations, extras etc.). Also on offer are various teas and coffees, including cappuccino. The prices are very reasonable. They even asked if I would like the milk steamed, for my cup of tea! The interior has an original tin ceiling (painted white) and a cozy wood floor. It is family-owned and operated. Local street parking is available. If there, during the summer, they have 3 small tables for two, on the front porch. They even have a tiny gift shop and the bathroom is clean and welcoming. They are also a bakery. Their bread is divine (and vegan) and the baked goods are wonderful! Plan to incorporate this destination, for lunch, into your day's outing! You won't be disappointed! Just don't plan a Sunday outing - they won't be open. For anyone planning a special event - they...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet me start by saying that this place isnāt what it used to be anymore. I ordered my wedding cake in 2017 and gender reveal cake in 2018 from here and both cakes turned out amazing. So when it came to our sonās first birthday, there was no doubt in our minds to come back here not only for the good experience, but there was also a sentimental attachment that we had. However, I never thought that this decision would end up with me in tears on my sonās first birthday. The cake looked like I couldāve baked it myself. We agreed to have buttons and suspenders drawn on the cake but the buttons looked like a 3-year-oldās drawing and werenāt even straight nor lined up properly. When I requested to have the cake re-decorated, I was asked to pay $40 for the redecoration when the entire thing only costed $60 to begin with. She then agreed to charge me $30 for the redecoration and this now $90 cake looked like a grocery store cake at best. I had plans taking my son to the park on his birthday but instead, I was in tears running around trying to fix this cake. We used to recommend this place to our friends for years but now, disappointment would be an understatement. I would not wish this experience on my...
