Off the Top: let it be noted that there are 2 separate lines tho absolutely NO signage is posted to notify you of this... The 1st line is for ice cream only and the 2nd line at the second counter is for food orders and ice cream!! Who knew! Upon taking order you are left to aimlessly find seating with no number or order receipt to be given so waitresses walk around aimlessly while your food's getting cold trying to locate the customer that meets the order.. so after waiting 15mins in what was thought to be the line wait staff asked if anyone was ordering food to move to the 2nd line... When order was taken was told a 25min wait time... As we reached nearly an hour and no sign of the waitress for awhile went to counter to inquire and was told it was almost ready... After another 20mins we had to flag done our potential food order( order consisted of chili cheese fries and fries with cheese and gravy a ice cream dipped in chocolate and a fudge sundae) when finally received fries were called soggy and both ice creams were completely melting yet it wasn't even warm enough to be in the shade with out having the chills... For being in business 70 years I would expect that they would have some kind of functioning rhythm to their business very disappointing after years of attending this...

Very disappointed with today’s visit. I was in line and one of the girls came up to me to take my order and said I can go in my car it would be faster. So I go to the car and order 2 cones and an order of onion rings The girls said it would be out shortly. Never did she say it would be a long wait because we were ordering food. Well we sat in the car for an hour and a half. Waiting and waiting. I began getting frustrated so I called and asked what was taking so long... another girl came to the car to asked what we ordered. We told her again. She left and came back and said she couldn’t find our order. And we would have to wait for at least another half an hour. I have never been so frustrated in my life how does it take that long to drop onion rings in a fryer. It takes 3-5mins to cook onion rings and it takes maybe a min to get the ice cream in a cone. We told her we didn’t want to wait for the onion rings and to just bring the ice cream. It still took 20 mins more for us to get our ice cream. I will not be going here again due to the issue. There was no apology or anything. Very...

The ice cream (soft serve) is so delicious. I wish I didn't live so far away, I would come everyday for their ice cream. I had a Boston Cooler for the very first time. This was also my first visit here. The service was okay. I had a chicken Parmesan sandwich with fries. The breaded chicken cutlet was so good, the bun was barely toasted though 😕. They put this awful gross tasting artificial "pizza" sauce on it. Like the kind of fake pizza sauce you used to get in those kits at the grocery store, where you squeeze on pizza sauce from a plastic packet. It would almost have been better to use ketchup. They don't put any veggies on the sandwich at all. I threw away the rest (but ate the cutlet which was good). The fries were just plain. Plain plain plain. They taste exactly like when you buy frozen crinkle cut fries in the grocery store and bake them in the oven. Yuck. I ate a few, and threw the rest out. I might come back, if I'm in the area and feel like a Boston Cooler or ice cream, but ewwww not for...

FYI - bring cash as its cash only. They do have an ATM on site but there is a service fee so if you can stop by your banks ATM on the way, do so. It’s a staple of Windsor Essex but the food is nothing gourmet so don’t have high expectations. Overpriced frozen food is a fair and accurate description. It’s nice atmosphere and best to come in spring to early summer if you want to avoid crazy busy line up and long waits. Good excuse to go for a drive but not a convenient location for you to “pop in” for a quick or cheap hotdog unless you’re in the area. Our order is below in a photo and came to $15 for a hotdog with side fries and small portion nuggets/fries. Would recommend you come for an ice cream or milkshake.

Delicious every time! Always worth the 45 minute drive we make for a treat every once in a while. Ice cream has always been great, good root beer floats and hot dogs are also delicious too. The menu is huge, so many different options in terms of food and dessert. Service is always friendly and fast. There is the option of placing your order/having the food or snacks delivered to your car without you having to get out, or getting out and waiting in line. There is also a huge yard with plenty of picnic tables to enjoy the nice weather in the summer. Always a great place to go with family and friends. Highly recommend!

Great place for ice cream. Food is over priced frozen food that is deep fried and by the time you get your meal it’s typically cold. The grounds are well maintained and there are plenty of places around back to sit and wait for your order or hang out. In the summer time it’s nice to sit in the inclosed area around back to avoid the bees and bugs. The lines at the front are not well labeled so be sure that you’re in the right line to either order food or just ice cream. Be prepared to wait a very long time on nice days and long weekends as the crowds get huge.
