Watch out: OVER 2 1/2 HOURS FOR DELIVERY!

It’s Friday night, 7:30 PM — Placed our Souvlaki Authentique Ile Perrot delivery order at approximately 5:05 PM. I realize Fridays are often a busy night for delivery, but if a restaurant is 2.5 hours behind in their orders, at the very least one should be advised at the time of order. Yes, stuff happens, but when delivery time falls hours behind, a phone call is in order. Example: “Sorry sir, there’s been a delay with your order”, or something to the effect. Well, no phone call, so in my opinion a bad business model.

At the 90 minute mark I took it upon myself to call and ask the whereabouts of our order. The always, every so polite girl manning the phone checked our order and said that it was in the driver’s hands out for delivery. One hour later (now 2.5 hours since ordering) food is nowhere to be seen, so, unfortunately, I called back Souvlaki Authentique Ile Perrot (3rd call) and cancelled our family’s order.

Please note: In the past, Souvlaki Authentique Ile Perrot has been super efficient with exceptional service. It’s just of late that things have degraded; not just with delivery wait times, but with PORTION SIZE as well, resulting in varying amounts of meat served from order to order.

We ended up ordering dinner elsewhere. I’m usually not one to put down a businesses, especially during a pandemic, but we’ve been pretty tolerant with Souvlaki Authentique Ile Perrot declining service, that is, until tonight.

We’ve been regular customers since the day they opened, at times ordering more than once a week.

The unfortunate thing is, If they had only called to apologize for tonight debacle, I wouldn’t be submitting such a negative review. Anyway, they did not. I guess it’s just the girl at the counter that has manners. Good on your parents, dear! 👍🏻

Needless to say, will not be ordering from Souvlaki Authentique Ile Perrot in the future. Also as mentioned, portion size is irregular between orders. Yes, food costs have increased, but don’t shaft my family’s appetite… just adjust your pricing accordingly.

Everything was good except the main part of my meal. I ordered a veggie pita plate and it was only when I got halfway through my pita that I felt I couldn't eat it anymore. The feta inside it was incredibly salty. I've ordered veggie pitas before at other restaurants and have never had a problem with the salt so I was surprised. I think what happened was that there was a lot of feta packed at the bottom and because it wasn't "sprinkled" throughout the pita and there weren't more vegetables to counter it, it overpowered everything. When I told our waitress the response I got was that I was the first person in two years to report such a problem, that everyone else likes their veggie pitas, that I should have reported it to them earlier and that there was no way there could be a problem since the feta in the sandwich was the same as that on the plate with the salad. I didn't have a problem with the feta in the salad (I ordered the house salad). The rice was great, I didn't mind the Greek potatoes, the bread was great, everything else was fine. Because I wasn't sure about the saltiness of the feta before telling the waitress I had my partner taste some of it and he agreed that it was extremely salty. It didn't look like the feta on the plate either. Mind you it was covered in tzatziki but it seemed denser and compacted somehow, sort of the texture of buffalo mozzarella. It didn't help that I'm affected by kidney disease and am not supposed to consume a lot of salt. The waitress said I should have told her. I've never experienced this problem before and I've ordered veggie pitas at other Greek restaurants so I don't know how I was supposed to anticipate this. The waitress asked us what she was supposed to do. We didn't ask for a refund. Just hope the next person who orders a veggie pita doesn't consume a day or more's quota of salt in...

Kudos MJ and the team at this location. It was truly amazing to go out to enjoy a nice meal with my fam and recieving such amazing service!

To start our waitress MJ was phenomenal. Being a waiter in the past she definitely hit every point i would expect from a wait staff. From greeting, to dinning to finish every part was amazing. We went with our 1 year old daughter. This is important to note as this is an area i found lots of wait staff dont pay attention to and treats her like an adult leaving cutlery, glasses and stuff in front of her. Mj recognized this and made every effort to not just place everything in front of her. Throughout our meal she was super attentive! First time in a long time where i literally did not have to ask for anything excwpt for the bill. She paid attention to our drinks and was around to top up before i finished, she brought the extra napkins before we needed them which we of course needed and brought extra plates as she sees we ordered a large platter to share. The attention to details to me was super impressive. That alone enhanced our experience as i didnt have to spend half my meal flagging down staff for anything!

Another employee was super helpful with answering questions about the menu as he was just happen to be walking by. We can definitely see he knew this menu and was honest about portions being too much for our fam. Could of easily sold us on the platter but instead gave us his honest opinion so ill try it next time with more people.

As for the food itself was just as fantastic as their staff!

This team truly set the bar on what restaurants experiences should be like.
