This Tim Horton's team is made up of young employees, which is to be expected. That said, customer service (especially courteous drive-thru service) is sorely lacking. I understand that the increase in stress due to the hectic pace of the morning rush at the drive-thru can be intense, but it shouldn't look and sound painful or "grudging" to say "good morning" or "have a nice day" Many times, I've been handed my items by the drive-thru employee without a single word of acknowledgment!
Two wks ago, they were obviously having issues with their timing, as it took an inordinately long time to arrive at the window. Having arrived at the drive-thru window, I again had to wait for much longer than usual, so, when the emp finally handed me my items and shut the window, I left...only to realize a minute later that they had forgotten my tea. I did a detour and returned to the restaurant, only to wait once more at the drive-thru window until the emp noticed me... and when she finally did, she promptly said "You forgot your tea"! I was livid!!
This Tim Hotons definitely has a long way to go in customer service, in comparison to other franchises in the area. I don't know if it's a generational thing, or if this Tim Hortons doesn't emphasize courtesy and respect in their employee training, but it is definitely problematic!
I'll end this review on a positive note in saying that their only saving grace is a young male employee who works the morning shift. He often takes the meal orders and can be also found at the cash. He is perfectly bilingual, professional, quick and courteous and I was relieved to see him at the window last week. HE is the only reason for the 3 stars as opposed the the 2 star rating I...

Used drive thru. Placed order. Paid. Drove away. Order was missing three hash browns. Drive back. Asked for three hash browns, explained why. Then... There was a discussion behind the counter. One particular employee seemed to be offended by the request. As they began to prepare the hash browns, I was approached by one employee who said 'you didn't order three, you ordered it two'. My response was to simply highlight the fact that whether I ordered 3 or 2, they were not in the bag originally. Which means the restaurant stole for me. I followed by highlighting the fact that if I ordered 3 because there were 3 people in my vehicle and if you only billed me for 2, not withstanding that it was a second mistake in the same transaction, they should charge me for an additional one, but that they shouldn't fight about it.
I received a snarkey, look, derision and frustration as they handed me three hash browns and said nothing.
