Kao Chocolat — Restaurant in L'Anse-Saint-Jean

We stopped here on our way back from the Fjord, and we’re so glad we did. We ordered hot chocolate and waffles, and both were absolutely delicious. The hot chocolate was made from real melted chocolate and was, without a doubt, the best I’ve had in a long time. The waffles were also very good.

The staff was friendly and welcoming.

The atmosphere was peaceful and pleasant, with lots of historical photos and anecdotes that added charm.

Lastly, we ended up buying some homemade chocolate because it was simply too gorgeous to resist. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m excited...

I stopped here during a road trip through Quebec, and when I tell you I was indulged in the most decadent chocolates I have ever consumed, that would be an understatement. Not only were the shop owners super friendly and passionate about their chocolates, but their craftsmanship was also apparent in the appearance and taste of their chocolate. I tried the boreal caramel, lavender, apple caramel and blueberry cheesecake flavours. Every single one of them was divine! So good in fact, I’m considering looping back to get some more before...
