As du Smoked Meat — Restaurant in L'Assomption

Well, I'm really enjoying this joint in L'Assomption. It's got great smoked meat sandwiches - rivalling the established brands from Montreal - and its local, friendly staff makes it enjoyable to wait as they prepare your order.

I've had the opportunity to have either their smoked meat sandwich or smoked meat poutine during my various trips in the area, and have never been disappointed. Their meat is not too salty nor fat, or rubbery: it has a good texture that breaks nicely as you bite through it.

As a bonus, they make cretons out of their left over bits of smoked meat briskets; while it might not be recommended for people who watch their salt intake, it's a great way to use smoked meat as a spread on bread...!

As for an atmosphere, well, it's not a place where you'll gather for 3 hours, but it's clean and warm, so you can really enjoy a couple of hours there...

Par où commencer... L’endroit est juste WOW avec une ambiance chaleureuse. Si tu es assis côté bar, tu vois le smoke Meat et quelques recettes se faire devant tes yeux. Le service est impeccable et les employés offrent un super service. De plus, l'hygiène niveau cuisine est wow. C’est propre, le lavage des mains est fréquent. Et la propreté du restaurant est aussi wow ce qui est de plus en plus rare de nos jours. Niveau cuisine, le smoke Meat est délicieux (tendre, juteux mais pas trop et cuisson parfaite) tout comme le reste. Les rondelles d'oignon sont WoW. Le pain, les légumes, ect sont frais.La seul chose qui m’a un peu déçu c'est les chips sel marin, je croyais que c'était des frites style chips mais non...
