Restaurant L'Éveil — Restaurant in L'Islet

This place is a bit of a flashback for me. It’s and old fashioned roadside place, with booths. Kinda cool. The place is clean and the servers were friendly. I ordered the cheeseburger and it was the most boring burger I’ve had in years. Small frozen patty, processed cheese slice in a boring bun, with nothing else. The fries were alright, but I doubt they were cut in house. The burger was also quite small. My friend had the seafood platter. The seafood was fresh and delicious. The fish was flaky, the scallops, although small were nice and both the breaded and brochette of shrimp were nice. It was a nice big platter and very filling. I can see why this place is popular with the older crowd, but I think it depends...

Please do not eat here! I was traveling through Quebec to get to New Brunswick and man this place sucks. The restaurant was dead and for the right reason. The service was awful and the food was horrendous. The girls who working were on their phone the whole time and talking instead of looking after the one table in the restaurant. Also, don’t even bother getting the ceaser salad you’ll get a better one from the local grocery store. Oh and the spaghetti, tasted like spaghetti that would be offered in a hospital cafeteria.
