Super disappointed with my experience this evening with both the tuna tartare and the awful service I received after returning the meal. To begin, the tuna was prepared and very obviously frozen, then served unfrozen, though very watery. You couldn't even taste the pineapple that was in it, and the fishes texture wasn't like any I'd ever eaten at a restaurant or even at home. I returned the plate after two other guests at our table took a chance and tried it, though I told them I was scared of having an indigestion and they also had the same distasteful experience with it. Frankly what was most upsetting was the nerve of the owner coming to our table to give me a dress down as he went on about it being my fault for being difficult and it not being to my tastes, instead of waxing on about how his "chef's" are excellent and his food top quality. It was embarassing and highly unprofessional. And besides, you can't serve something unfrozen, filled with water that tasted like nothing described in the ingredients and call it anything but subpar. I even politely asked the owner to have his chef taste it and the only response I got was I was difficult. To cap it all off, they still charged for the entire meal, which also happens to be the most expensive thing on their menu, instead of pricing it down or even writing it off as guess what... I didn't have dinner. The group of 8 of us which were there to celebrate my birthday were all taken aback but such awful service and poor quality that we will never be going back and highly recommend anyone to steer clear and avoid the restaurant, instead going anywhere else...
Read moreI felt like I went to a different restaurant than the other reviewers ... Maybe I leaned to hard into the sound of an "auberge" and not enough in "resto-pub". In either event, despite a really great server, me and my family were pretty disappointed. The food was very sub-par for the price-point. My duck confit was not confit, just slow-cooked, with an overpowering brown sauce that tasted pre-packaged. My daughter's pizza crust was just okay and the margarita had no tomato sauce, but cheese covered by sliced tomotos, and was not a hit. The wings were tasty but tiny, with the tips still attached - adding to the 1lb but not really food ... The ribs were also saucy but seemed to be parboiled then sauced, not really bbq'd. My wife's first glass of wine was very scant, then the second quite full... And the whole time, there was loud club-adjacent music - more bar than pub and certainly not restaurant music, imo. The room was pleasant if a little characterless. Not sure if we hit an 'off' night, but pretty...

I cannot for the life of me figure out how people can be amazed with this food…
It was just ridiculous and way overpriced!
Who sells a French onion soup 16$ and puts only mozzarella in it? Clear broth, lacking seasoning, barely any onions, wayyyy too sweet and just a big puck of mozzarella not even baked to a crisp.
If you can’t even succeed at this basic classic, imagine the rest…
200$ for two sad soups, one shared pizza (soggy) and 2 pasta dishes for the kids, fist size portions, along with two 5oz glasses of warm house wine… It’s an insult to the industry!
I might give it another shot when the owner is around as advised by our lovely waitress, but don’t go there on a Sunday night, the place is deserted and the line cook clearly needs more shifts with the boss before...
