Best dining experience I’ve had in awhile!

We stumbled upon this restaurant on a whim during our roadtrip and I have to say it’s such a gem! The food is great with amazing presentation and portions, and the staff (both waiters and kitchen staff) were very professional and helpful. Also worth noting: this place is the ONLY place I’ve been to where they give you enough bread/crackers for the amount of tartare you order (and at a fraction of the price of many other high end places). Both the waiters and chef kept checking up on us throughout the meal. Definitely will go back given the chance since both the food and service were exceptional. We did go when it wasn’t as busy though (just a heads up).

Food: got the salmon and beef tartare set and Canadian beef dish; both were great but I’d say I’m a bigger fan of the salmon tartare. For dessert, we got the bombe alaska, which was soooo good. Not overwhelmingly sweet with mini strawberries (good ones), meringue, vanilla icecream, and brownie (from...

Ritesh is a phenomenal restaurant owner. Not only was he so warm and hospitable to every single person that entered the restaurant, but even as an owner, he was not too highly ranked to serve his clients. He demonstrated such humility and gave his honest opinion about items on the menu. He is also a caterer. We were only passing through La Tuque, but Biztro le Mauricien is a must go pit stop. We wanted something light for supper such as soup and salad. Ritesh even provided alternative options to accommodate my dietary restrictions. It was a blessing to be there. This restaurant is like a...

When arriving in La Taque we were looking for places to have dinner, we stumbled upon Biztro Le Mauricien due to the good reviews and I’m glad we did.

Plenty of options on the menu that are well thought out and taste well. The hospitality is wonderful, they made sure we had a good experience.

They also took the time to recommend us some places to visit during our stay in La Tuque.

Due to all this we decided to come back for dinner the next day, and also have brunch on the Sunday before heading back to Montreal...

Fantastic!! We happened upon this lovely bistro on a road trip through the area on a Sunday. They were about to close when we came in, but welcomed us warmly nevertheless. When we mentioned we are vegan the chef came out and offered to make us a special lunch. He created a fresh, delicious dish that all of us enjoyed. The service was very delightful! We will never forget the genuine kindness and hospitality, and of course the wonderful meal. Merci beaucoup! What a treat!
