Mistral expérience festive extérieure — Restaurant in Lac-Brome

My sister and I enjoyed a lovely lunch on the gorgeous patio at Le Mistral. The setting is beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Our server was super friendly and, despite the fact that we arrived late (we did let them know) there was no sense of rush or bother. We were made to feel very welcome and reassured about taking our time to enjoy ourselves. We loved the pizza and Caesar salad (both delicious) and sipped our wine - allowing it to refresh us after a long drive. This lunch stop was the kick off to a sisters' get-away and a celebration of my sister's retirement. It could not have been any better! We lucked out for sure by deciding to dine at Le Mistral. Good variety in terms of menu and wine options. My partners Ceviche and my shrimp were delicious; my partners Lobster "roll" was full of meat and thoroughly enjoyed; my duck salad was basically shredded carrots with cold sliced breast of duck - perhaps a warm dressing should be considered... Speaking of warm, the warmer behind me stopped heating shortly after we were seated. There were several attempts to get it heating again but to no avail. Thankfully there were blankets - not offered but found on my way to the bathroom. Service was delivered promptly and professionally by Stephane and the young ladies...

Terrible service from the moment we walked in and this is consistent on three visits, the first being pre pandemic when staff hiring was not the issue it is these days. Pizza is good as is atmosphere, but there seems to be a consistent problem with staff like today’s entitled waitress who clearly did not care about how to treat customers or was never trained properly. A shame because it’s a beautiful place. I live nearby and the bad service is well known by locals...
