My (now) wife and I got married at Peak Cellars on June 17th. We were attracted by the 'micro-wedding' concept and liked the thought of minimizing the usual logistical challenges (arranging food vendors, renting tables/chairs/linens/sound systems etc.) by opting for something more intimate and 'turnkey'. The venue ended up being the perfect choice as there was plenty of room for our 30 guests in the ceremony and pergola (reception) spaces, beautiful views of the lake, and excellent food/wine and customer service. As we set up for the ceremony/reception, the staff at Peak Cellars went out of their way to ensure that the event was a success. Unfortunately, the rainy weather early in the day delayed the set-up, and ultimately required that the wine and canapé portion of the evening be moved into the wine-making room, which worked well. It was also felt that the reception location itself may need to be changed and the staff was ready to accommodate this; however, ultimately this was not necessary since the weather cleared up. Monique was able to absorb and assist with lots of our planning details in the days leading up to the event, and was there on the day to ensure everything was on track (even stepping in to puppy-sit our Goldendoodle Maggie who was periodically fussy and confused by all the commotion!). The fact that Monique and the Peak staff were so willing to help find solutions to create a perfect event and match our vision made for a much less stressful experience, and many of our guests later reflected that they've rarely had so much fun at a wedding. We highly recommend Peak Cellars for anyone considering a relatively hassle-free, intimate wedding with a top-notch staff at a beautiful venue!

We recently stopped in at Peak Cellars for a wine tasting and had a wonderful experience. Our host was absolutely fantastic – very personable, friendly, and knowledgeable about all of the wines, which made the tasting both enjoyable and informative. The winery itself is stunning, with beautiful grounds to explore and a massive outdoor pizza oven that really adds to the charm. While we didn’t try the food, we did enjoy the wines and thought they were very good, ultimately purchasing over $100 worth to take home. The only downside for us was the tasting fee, which was $15 per person. The samples felt a little on the smaller side, and we were surprised that the fee wasn’t waived with a wine purchase, as is common at many other wineries. That said, we still left with a very positive impression thanks to the excellent service and beautiful setting. Overall, we would definitely recommend Peak Cellars for both the quality of their wines and the exceptional hospitality of their staff.

Food was decent. Service mediocre. Giving the low rating because it had rained and my 20 mos old baby slipped hard and hit her face.( she will have a black eye) There were no signs warning of how slippery it was and when I mentioned it to the server, we were only asked if she was okay and if I wanted ice. The owner and or manager never came to check on us. I feel that for a place of this caliber there should have been more of a “check in”, absolutely considering this was 140$ lunch. If this had been my elderly mother who was with us and fallen she would have been quite hurt. ( not posting pic of my baby for obvious reasons but here is the bill to prove we were there.)

I want to preface my review by saying I really wanted to love this place, and also that I chose this place for a wine tasting and dinner after deciding not to go to 50th parallel because I read reviews that the service wasn't great at 50th.

That said, we had a 4pm wine tasting/tour reservation, I believe for the ICE tour. When we arrived we were made to wait for about 15 minutes, which isn't a huge deal but it wasn't super busy so I'm not sure why.

I cannot recall the name of the girl who did the wine tour, she was tall and blonde and very nice (and attentive as a server), however she never introduced herself, didn't actually seem to know very much about the wines, recommended pairings, or tour areas, and once she told us about her 1 single favourite wine and cheese pairing and we asked for other recommendations she couldn't give us any. It seemed strange, given that we had a whole charcuterie in front of us and a flight of 6 or so wines to taste with the various cheeses and meats as a part of the tour/tasting. The wine and charcuterie board made it worth the $ but I think you guys could really improve on doing some tastings with your staff so that they can make recommendations. The fact that about 5-6 of the staff stood around the bar gossiping also slightly ruined the experience as well, I heard all about how one of the tables is mad that nobody attended to them for 15+ minutes, how someone's sister got engaged, weekend plans, etc. Again, not horrible but I did find it unprofessional especially since everyone in the group acknowledged that one table was upset about not having good service and they... proceeded to stand there talking about it instead of going out to talk to that table. Lol.

The above should have been an indication to me about our own dinner plans there, because after our tasting we had dinner booked for 5 pm. We were transferred to a table outside where we proceeded to wait 18 minutes for anyone at all just to come over and give us water or take a drink order. 18 minutes is way too long for a place with like 20 tables and that many staff working at the start of a dinner service. I think we asked the busser or whomever came over to fill out water at that point to get the server for us.

Once she came over she brought the menus (absolutely insane considering I could have picked out my entire meal in those 18 minutes...) and before we could actually say much to her she walked away again and this time left us for maybe 10 or 15 minutes. At this point we were annoyed and full of charcuterie so we ordered 1 single pizza to go, sat at the table until it was ready, and then left. The pizza was good though.

My takeaway for O'Rourke's is this: I would easily have ordered an app, a main, a pizza, a dessert, and even more wine had someone said hi to us and given us a menu, even if the service was a bit slow. But seeing the staff hanging out and chatting and being at the restaurant portion for a total of 55 minutes just to get a takeout pizza and having spoken to our server literally 2 times during that entire hour is unacceptable. Please work on your customer service. Do tastings and pairings with your employees, have them give tours to their own coworkers to practice, talk to them about professionalism, and work on your organization so you dont have any customers sitting at tables for 18 minutes with no water, drinks, menus, or acknowledgement.

I won't be back personally as this was actually a birthday experience for my partner and I was embarrassed by the end of it. But I hope you improve because the food and wine is good.

I hate to leave bad reviews, especially since the spot is beautiful and the food and wine is good, but this was some of the worst service. I'm not picky/overtly unrealistic in my expectations either, you can check my past reviews. I just really had a bad experience and I hope you guys...

My husband and I stopped in on Saturday, Sept 27 at 4:15PM to order pizza for take out. We were met promptly by the Hostess with bright red hair (didn’t catch her name). She gave us a menu & invited us to order when we were ready while she seated other guests. However, she didn’t return for some time & a waitress passing by noticed us waiting for service (as well as other customers who arrived during this time), and she offered to help us by taking our order & payment. After we paid and sat a few moments in the lobby, we decided to go outside to take some photos & the red haired Hostess noticed us from the dining room asked where we were going, like she had NO recollection of seeing us from the lobby. We told her that we were taking photos which she okayed & we saw the kitchen staff box up our pizza so we quickly returned to the lobby to await our food when several other small groups of women arrived. They mentioned they were on a self-guided wine tour (no reservations). No Hostess was available for some time so ALL of these women pushed their way to the front and one bossy women of the 3 groups took it upon herself to prioritize seating order, with her group to be first. Our take out order had been ready for 15 minutes by now when the Hostess returned. The Hostess sat 3 groups in the order the bossy woman had indicated without so much as taking charge of the situation. By then, it was another 30 minutes for this to all happen when another pair of women came in and pushed themselves ahead of me. The Hostess finally returned and I pushed ahead of those 2 women to ask the Hostess for my order since she was not paying attention to people waiting vs arriving, and when I approached the Hostess stand, she acted like she hadn’t seen me the 3 previous interactions! Then she wanted to charge me (again) for the food despite it now being 45 minutes since we had ordered and paid. We were disgusted and left with our cold, soggy pizza.

In all the years I’ve been coming here, this is by far the worst service we’ve ever had but each time, it’s been worse than the previous. The clientele is much pushier and more rude acting all bougie even though they were wearing tight yoga capris and socks with flip flops, they had no issue looking others up and down with distain while pushing themselves to the front and not having table reservations. All of this could have been avoided with proper staffing levels at the Hostess desk and crowd control. The food itself was subpar from our previous visits but likely that’s because it was cold and soggy by the time we got it.

This used to be a favorite stop for us and we used to make reservations to eat in and brought our guests whenever we had visitors to the area (which was quite often) in, however, this was our final visit following this experience there this year. There are too many other places to go and eat that have better service, a better managed Hostess station and less snotty clientele. Several other reviews indicated slow and substandard service, problems with the Hostess stand and lack lustre customer satisfaction but clearly the owners/management have done nothing to address it. If attracting bougie and bossy drunk women wearing athleisure wear is your type of desired clientele, then keep doing what you’re doing. The rest of us will spend our money on a nice meal, with good service and a positive...

I was a long time customer. Last night we went for supper and a wine tasting. The wine tasting was excellent but it was ruined by drama that the manager created.

I was there with my gf and we where having the kind of conversation that needed to be heard. Not a bad conversation but one that we didn’t want a misunderstanding. I moved my chair beside her. We had drinks. We had mussels for an appetizer. We where in the restaurant for over an hour at this point with no issues.

Meanwhile the table behind us was a 4 person table and the restaurant staff had put chairs on the end so they could fit 6. I didn’t notice until a waiter (not our waiter) came and bluntly told me to move as we where in the way. I said ok but noticed I was having a hard time hearing my gf. So I moved back but pulled up to the round shaped table. There where multiple waiters and waitress having no issue navigating. I watched them. The manager came over and told me to move. I said no. I was at my table. There was lots of room and they had added people to the table behind me. It was humiliating. It like being in kindergarten and again there was lots of room. So she went to the table they had added chairs to and started messing with them pointing at us like we where being unreasonable. Again the restaurant had put an extra chair there

We where eating our main course at this point. We had wine but it was embarrassing. We left and paid. The manager started an argument in the lobby which we did not engage. We didn’t finish our meal. Our drinks. We paid 100 for 2 people to not finish a meal. 30 for the wine tasting and had bought 2 bottles of wine. 200 to this place. I should be able to sit anywhere I want at my table. Especially so I could hear the conversation We had been there for over an hour and where 10 minutes left. There was no reason to mention it and the manager approached it like every Karen I have ever seen

I have been there numerous times before. I have recommended it to people. I’m not sure what misfired today but it was bar none an humiliating embarrassing situation and it was handled very poorly. We will go to grey monk or ex nihilo...
