So we learned about Thirsty Rhino via skip the dishes, tried the food and it was amazing! Now that dine in is open again we decided to try in person. Was not disappointed. The food quality was on point, the menu has changed since we ordered on skip, but that was known before we went in. The service was prompt, not perfect but the server was excellent and able to offer a couple of options to my indecisive girlfriend. Entree options were the jalapeño popper burger, which minus having too much onion for my taste, was fantastic. Second entree was the Zohan burger, of which there were no complaints. The food was hot when it came out, and it came out in a very reasonable time frame given the number of patrons at the time we were there. A nice touch is that the menu is unique its not just your standard pub burger, it is a twisted and elevated pub menu. It's not a large space, and because of that I found the music to be a touch loud, I had to raise my voice slightly to be heard by my girlfriend sitting beside me. Not crazy loud, but wouldn't hurt to be turned down a touch. I believe the music shouldn't overtake conversation at that short of a distance, that is a personal belief however. The only other thing that contributed to a 4 star rating, is some of the chairs are in disrepair. The fabric is tattered and torn and just doesn't look great. It may be only cosmetic, but it affected my perception of the environment. The food quality and service more than makes up for this however! Food quality is on point, service was great and the environment is welcoming and comfortable. A couple of minor things that are overlookable given the quality being presented. 100% recommend trying The Thirsty Rhino!!

Stopped in at The Thirsty Rhino for lunch after hearing that they have one of the best burgers in the city. We seated ourselves and looked over the drink menu. Happy Hour drinks ordered we proceeded to review the food menu. We ordered the Jalapeno Popper Burger and the Baba Looey Burger. The bar has a great vibe with plenty of TV's which would be great to watch the game! After a short wait out came our lunch. The Jalapeno Popper was exactly as advertised, a fire grilled chuck patty, jalapeno cream cheese, jalapeno relish, thick cut crispy bacon and garlic aioli. The Baba Looey came with fire grilled chuck patty, cheese, guacamole, home made sweet corn relish, red onions, lettuce and Valentina sauce. Both burgers came with sides, one order of fries and another order of onion rings. The burgers did not disappoint. They are assembled with just the right amount of toppings so that it was not falling apart with the first bite. They were very tasty and I would put it up there as one of the best. Fries were good and I would recommend the onion rings. The only disappointment was the hard core of the tomato on the burger but in fairness it is January and really great produce is hard to come by. Overall it was a great meal and we will definitely be back to try out many of the other menu offerings.

A nice little neighborhood pub 😍 The menu is a little bit limited, but the food is absolutely AMAZING! The Thirsty Rhino serves some of the best burgers in Edmonton 😋 Some of the burgers have very unique and unusual toppings, such as the Charlie Brown burger (which has peanut butter as one of the toppings 😼) I was actually reluctant to try it at first. Sounds pretty strange, but it's amazingly good! Their garlic parmesan fries and really good too! The Thirsty Rhino is also a pretty fun place! 😁 I appreciate that they have a few oldschool video games... And they even have a few VLT machines too! The Thirsty Rhino has a nice atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff. This place is well worth checking out! You'll be happy that you did! 😍👌

This is a tough one. We recently moved to within about a one minute walk of "The Thirsty Rhino." Family members had been there before and said it was great. We went there on a Sunday night. We ordered fish and chips. The fish was obviously prepared from frozen. The breading on it was like the kind you get on those really cheap fish sticks. The fish was dry and tasteless. We didn't eat it. The chips were also dry. We couldn't tell if they were previously frozen, but we assumed they were. We didn't eat them. Nothing good or bad to say about the coleslaw. Oh yeah, we also ordered coffee which was some of the worst I've ever tasted. We politely informed our server, after she asked us how our meal was, that the fish was inedible. "Oh" she said. No apology, no offer of an alternate meal. We were also charged full price for everything. So, all in all, a terrible experience. Our family members were shocked since our experience was so different than theirs. Maybe the kitchen was just having a bad night, but we paid for it. We'll give it another try. We were really hoping the experience would be good as it's nearby and has a pub-type atmosphere. We'll...
